Date: 8/16/2005 12:56:02 PM Author: ThePeoplesPerson IMHO, No. I loved the game to death at first, it starts out incredibly fun. However, it loses its replayability so fast, it will almost seem liek you love it one day and hate it the next. The reason is the maps. Most of the maps are so huge that you're always waiting for vehicles to drive to the other side. Wouldn't be too bad if teamwork existed, but most people will jump in an APC and race off with just them selves in it, then camp a spawnpoint for half the game until they die, after which they take the same apc again, because it spawns almost as instantly as they do. There are only a couple maps I enjoyed, and I played them soo much they're boring now. Lookign at my profile, I think I have more time logged into one of my fave maps then every other map combined. If you're looking for a good game, I'd get WoW. It's my first mmo I've ever played (I didn't agree with Pay to play), but I have no regrets at all. There is so much to do, you'll never get bored for a long time. I play with my friend, and been playing for a few weeks, level 30 now, and its so fun killign and questing. And if you get bored at that, you can go PvP hunting, and if that gets boring, go do your professions (mining, leather working, blacksmith, etc. Theres like 10 or so.) Not to mention every race has its own starting zone and if you ever get bored of say the horde, Theres a whole other set of quests/people on the alliance side.quote> A site called DontCap.com hosts BF2 games, and they are very strict about fair play. Spawn camping and such will lead to instant banning. Maybe you should check it.

GTA: San Andreas re-rated to AO (Adults only)
horrorkid64 replied to horrorkid64's topic in Gaming Talk
It's interesting that the whole thing seems to be an US only issue. I haven't heard of any other countries where GTA would have been re-rated. Well, however - The Sims 2 seems to be Jack Thompson's next target: Sims 2 content worse than Hot Coffee -
GTA: San Andreas re-rated to AO (Adults only)

Date: 7/21/2005 6:42:46 AM Author: ADG So they don't mind their 18 year olds to play a game where you can drive around downtown at full speed killing lots of people because of the driving, and then get out of the car to shoot a lot more innocent people (including police) with lots of different weapons. But as soon as it includes just a little softcore (I guess?) sex scenes you have to be much older than 18 to play it? quote> Just to clarify the ratings: MATURE Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language. ADULTS ONLY Titles rated AO (Adults Only) have content that should only be played by persons 18 years and older. Titles in this category may include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity. GTA:SA had been rated M ealier. The Leesti Space Station high-security prison looked like the backdrop of a low-budget sci-fi movie and the inmates behaved like cliches come alive. The guy with the crowbar obviously wanted to play the role of the bad-ass sadistic psychopath. And he played his role pretty good. Jameson would have agreed to this, but he was too busy spitting blood and teeth on the concrete floor of his prison cell. The next blow hit him on the chest and suddenly breathing became impossible. I never accept a 'no' for an answer, get it?, the psychopath yelled. Jameson barely noticed the next blow, the world was already fading away and pain seemed to be the only thing left. As a small voice in his mind whispered to him: I love you, daddy. Memory flashes of better days. His wife, his daughter. And suddenly even hell wasn
