Oh yes, of course! How blind of us potential customers not to realize how lucky we are that Maxis decided the new game would have any landscape variety at all!
You know, I also think we should be happy that we're even getting 4 sq. km cities instead of 1. Hell, let's just be celebrating that we got any room to build a city at all! Let's also be thankful that Maxis had the foresight to make each micro-city separated from each other, across vast distances of no-man's land, so that all those people playing multiplayer out there (and of course, EVERYBODY wants to play multiplayer!) don't run into each other. And, while we're at it, let's thank Maxis for laying down all the roads, railroads, and waterways connecting each micro-city, as we obviously are too dumb to do that ourselves!
Let's be happy about every single fact that comes out about the new game, and when others dare to criticize it, let's try to find some redundant silver-lining! Thanks Maxis, for everything!
Thank you snick25. I am thankful that Maxis isn't completely dead. I am thankful for a new SimCity. I am THANKFUL for whatever we will get in this release. 10 years. 10 YEARS PEOPLE since SC4!!! We are spoiled with all of the mods, and choices for city simulation. Want to play on a fixed grid system? Start up SC4. Want to have resources and "tokens"? Play CitiesXL.
Let's wait for the game to release before we start casting stones. I will play the crap out of this game, and I will LOVE IT! We few, we proud, we lucky SimCity fans should bow to Maxis and everything they are doing. I thought the genre was dead. I played SC4 for years before I knew what a mod was. Now I can't live without them. How many of you are still waiting for a "Seasons" type of expansion for The Sims 3, but play it anyway? If you have given up on the series, then, by all means, don't buy it. Forsake SimCity forever. But please, stop complaining.
I vote for a "complaints" section to be added to the forum. It should be pinned, "hot" topiced, and then when you complain about something, it doesn't post. Just sends you an email from Maxis that reads "shut up"
But seriously, a complaints section would be cool.
