  1. the next Need For Speed: Undercover

I think NFS needs a nice, long break. That's all I have to say. Besides, I prefer a more realistic racing experience that Gran Turismo and Forza brings.

Not as good as the old-school ban page, though.
  4. Steve Fossett Declared Legally Dead

"CHICAGO (AP) — Self-made business tycoon Steve Fossett, whose thirst for adrenaline drove him to fly around the world solo in a balloon, climb mountains and aim for speed records, has been declared dead, 5 months after his small plane vanished. He was 63. Fossett, who in 2002 became the first person to circle the world solo in a balloon, was known for his methodical pursuit of pushing endurance envelopes, including swimming the English Channel, completing the Ironman Triathlon and competing in the Iditarod dog sled race." The full article can be found here. You gotta admit, he sure lived life to his fullest. He'll be missed.
  5. Let's Look at the past and the future

Well, you'll have to excuse my ignorance since I know very little about Urbs Urbis... I've only visited the forum a handful of times. I hope you prove me wrong and this becomes a reality.

And I've played Duke Nukem 3D to death.... Also, I notice you've got Megaman X on there. Is that a game you've ever actually finished or something you've just dabbled with? Because it is an awesome game. Not the best in the series (that'd be X8), but still pretty damn good... and, well, it's a classic. Doctor Ryu Light Approves: quote> Duke Nukem 64 was pretty good, but I haven't played it in years, and probably won't play it again. It was one of the many games I never completed, though. I never played the PC version, but I'm sure you got the better game out of it since they took out some music and some of the crude language of the N64 version for the typical Nintendo audience. As for Mega Man X, I did finish it... probably several times, and it's one of the best Mega Man games I've played, but I never did buy any other games from the X series... I believe I rented X2 back in the day, but I lost interest in the series during the Playstation era. Besides, I'm partial to the 8-bit Mega Man games... always will.
  7. Let's Look at the past and the future

Cities Unlimited is the only one I would put money on right now... but if SimCity 5 is announced and is a traditional SC game developed by the Maxis crew, then I'll also bet on that. Urbs Urbis and Simtropolis 1000 are neat ideas and are what city simulators should be like in the conceptual sense, but I don't see those options actually flourishing past the brainstorming stage, unfortunately. It takes lots of money and resources to build a game from scratch, especially one as complex as a city sim.
  8. Question my Ancer

It seems Duke 86+1's game has been revived. Thread closed.
  9. Link Game

That's not the only rule you guys broke. There's also the 2-post rule.
  10. Fail.

My own little creation... the thing about these pics is that they're fairly easy to make as long as you have the right pic.

  12. Fail.

Well, I guess I should start with one I just made specifically for our favorite Patriots fan.
  13. The New Moose Factory - Virtual Bar & Grill

So the issue is being resolved, Nerd_Guy? That's good to hear. But why post this on YouTube where everyone can see it? Common sense was seriously lacking on the part of the cameraman and the rest of the thugs.

  17. How Can You Live Longer?

Healthy Lifestyle Is the Secret to Longer Life, Researchers Say "Not smoking, regular exercise, maintaining normal weight, and avoiding diabetes and high blood pressure seem to be the secrets of living to age 90, researchers say. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, about 5 million Americans are aged 85 and older, a number that will quadruple by 2050. As the population grows older, doctors should encourage older Americans to exercise and lead healthy lifestyles to cut health-care costs." Somewhere in the world, Captain Obvious is smiling.

  19. Riding a Dead Horse

Good read... I got a chuckle out of it.
  20. Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw Reviews SCS

I'm surprised he even reviewed SCS... but still funny and accurate as always. If you didn't laugh at any point in that review, you're not human.
  21. SimCity Creator on Development

I did a quick search and found this. SimCity Creator is real, I guess... but what is this game really? Could it be SC5 or just another cash-in?

One assumes that a fast machine and high speed internet are a requirement. What hardware does it want? I'll bet that my antique won't have enough oomph to even load this lovely goodie. Yes, I am impressed. Now I have to find out how impressed by bank account will be.quote> I'm in that same boat... my half-decade old rig that hasn't been upgraded or anything likely won't handle Spore at this time. I will likely have to spend some cash on a graphics card at the least, but I'm not going out of my way to buy or build a new PC right now. I am looking forward to this game, eventually.
  23. The New Moose Factory - Virtual Bar & Grill

Man, all is quiet here... is the autoserver on vacation? Is everyone scared of the 3 week-old poutine?

    Hi there, off-topic junkies.
