Actually i have the original and 2011...just never bothered with the online after the trial period of the original as it looked like they only offered "the good stuff" online.... basically selling me a shell of a game....
2011 never gave me alot of choices either.
What might be nice is if they gave players something like the way ppl play BF3 online...a way to connect to ppl but not using servers for game storage.
Your cities would be stored on your system but ppl could view them (and your stats) and communicate to you thru a server system if you were connected at the time...just a thought
