  1. I figure this is a cool thread to make an introduction. Long time listener and first time caller from Chicago, IL. Western Ave. stop on the O'Hare branch of the CTA Blue Line on the border between the neighborhoods of Bucktown and Logan Square (~5 miles from downtown Chicago). By some metrics Western Ave. is the longest urban road in the USA, and this L station is right next to its giant 3 way intersection with Armitage Ave. and Milwaukee Ave. 3 CTA bus lines converge on this stop as well. I live less than a block from this stop, so between the L connection and bus routes the CTA can pretty much get anywhere I want to go. It doesn't hurt that the Western bus and Blue Line both run 24 hours, a day 365 days a year either. View looking south down the tracks from the station. Complete with a Chicago staple: entirely too many city workers doing absolutely nothing. Since the Blue Line never closes any sort of maintenance can make for some pretty long delays when big chunks of the line go to 1 track.
