What is believed to be a Northern Bottlenose Whale has surfaced in the River Thames in London! This is the first time it is believed to have happened since records at the British Museum of Natural History began in 1913. It is not known why the Whale is in central London, but it is heading upstream, and passed the Thames Barrier earlier this morning. The BBC news report can be found here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4631396.stm

The Whale in the City!

It got beached a few times in the night, but they are still trying to put it in a sling. People are throwing water on it, it's at Battersea now, which is a bit further from where it was yesterday. They think they will move it by sea, but it could be lifted by land or air... -

Date: 1/20/2006 2:52:20 PM Author: Compromise Well my fellow Britians thets apprshiate we have the gulf stream otherwise we would have the extreme climate of Canada.quote> Yeah, western Europe has the vast Siberian plains that give them all their cold weather. I don't mind cold/bad weather, a snow day would be a nice surprise! Speaking of bad weather, I was woken up at 1 AM this morning to find that my window was being pounded by rain. It was SOOOO loud! -

I had this idea a while back with Boggy1, and I decided to set up a thread for it. Basically, we can all create a galaxy with our own planets we made in Photoshop or a 3D modelling program or anyway you may have done it, and colaborate them into one galaxy, aptly named Alpha Simtropauri. So post your planets here, and give a brief description of it. Your planet's may harbour life, and hopefully we can get a large intergalactic society going on, with life developing far enough to interact with other planets. I'll start us off: http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/muzzplanet01copy1.jpg align=baseline> Alabine Alabine is a planet with a landscape of mainly brown rocky outcrops. The planet has a very warm climate. A vast plain of brown rock stretches across the middle of the planet, while the poles are still warm, the mountains are topped with a light layer of snow. Precipitation is very uncommon, only a little snow at the poles is ever experienced. Alabine has no native life, but the climate wouldn't make it unsuitable to live on... http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/muzzplanet02copy1.jpg align=baseline> Jeshani Jeshani is a Gas Giant, with a thin ring of space rocks. Jeshani has four moons, one of which could be inhabited. The planet is mainly made up of argon. The moon that is thought to be inhabited has an atmosphere similar to Earth. http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/muzzplanet03copy.jpg align=baseline> Platomin A planet made up of deserts and mountain ranges. No life is thought to exsist on the planet, and the atmosphere and high gravity is not thought to be able to sustain life if it was to visit Platomin. Platomin has one moon, which might be able to support life if support systems were supplied. http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/muzzplanet04copy.jpg align=baseline> Rotakine Rotakine is a planet similar to Earth in appearance and characteristics. A highly developed form of life exsists on Rotakine, Rotas. Rotas are similar to Humans in appearance, but are amphibious creatures which can survive underwater. They have established one language amongst them, and live in communities on the land or underwater. Lets see your planets that you wish to add to Alpha Simtropauri!

So close to winning the lottery... (This thread can also double up as a discussion about "lost")
The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz replied to humanleague's topic in General Off-Topic
Just some random post, but almost every number they use in Lost is Hurley's numbers. The flight number (8 and 15) and everything. If you guys are obsessed with lost, go to www.channel4.com/lost and click on Lost: Untold, it's pretty good, but possibly hints at things that has already been revealed in series 2... -

From the Desk of Dr. Gordon Jays ER, Caladian Minister of Foreign Affairs, we offer the Socialist State of Rodina an Embassy in New Haven. This is part of our plan to open the country to non SCJU Communist/Socialist states. If you accept, our only request is that you return the favour. Loving the updates Sepsis, very realistic and very cool! Keep it up!
