Global Warming
The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz replied to simcitystar1167's topic in Current Events
The Earth goes through cycles. It goes through cycles of hot weather, it goes through cycles of cold weather. We get warm spells, and we get ice ages. What we have now is a warm spell. It is perfectly natural that the world should experience different climate patterns. In my opinion, Global Warming is an invention of over-reaction. Of course humans contribute to this warm spell, but not as much as everyone thinks, we are NOT killing our planet. Surely it is relatively impossible for an airplane crossing the atlantic to spew out enough fuel to take a chunk out of the environment...? Don't you guys think this is just a huge over-reaction to a perfectly normal period of the Earth's life? -

Awesome work, I've just trailled through all 4 pages and I love what I saw. Beautiful terraforming and I love the care and time that has gone into laying out your cities. Fantastic! -
Myanmar 1943-1945 to be precise. Hmmm, Oahu or one of the other Hawaiian islands?

Afraid not RushHourFreak. Ok a clue... It's not a flag which is used anymore.

Pfff, Zulu is South African-ish.

Could it be a flag of a South African Province? Or am I lightyears off?
-
Hmmm, a coastal state in the US, perhaps? I'm going to say Virginia.

Sci Fi Room

Character development is extremely important in TV series or long running sagas. For example Star Wars Episode 1-3. You really felt happy for Anakin at the start when he was freed and was to become a Jedi, and you got to connect with his character throughout episode 2... but then in Episode 3 you felt kind of sorry for him because just as he had said wouldn't happen, the Dark Side got him... -
Gold Depra - An Empire of Greed
The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz replied to choco1's topic in SC4 City Journals
WTH? How come you get a whole page and a bit comments over one update?!? Lol Anyway, it looks excellent, it's obvious that Green Depra is socialist... Money and greed, lol. It looks very capitalist, very American. Nice start! -

My Summer In Boot Camp

How interesting, Victory Forge sounds interesting. I've done hikes with rucksacks before, it would be the strategic part that I'd have trouble with, I'd be more inclined to run out and shoot everything (or hide and shoot a bullet once every 10 minutes). But then I guess if you've had Drill Sargeants yelling at you for 9 weeks, then you are going to do exactly what they say. Intersting read, and well done for doing this. -

Originally posted by: zelgadis But then, I haven't even factored in the super-star destroyer. ("Executor" was the name, I believe.) How many Federation ships would it take to blow up that thing, I wonder. quote> Yeah, the Executor was a big thing, but remember that it crashed into the second Death Star and exploded after a small 4m across starfighter crashed into the bridge. -

The Capital of the World!

New York. Or The Hague. Or Geneva. Probably New York, but remember this poll is nothing to do with population OR land size. -
Sci Fi Room
The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz replied to Palpatine001's topic in General Off-Topic
Hmmm, IMO, Star Wars is the best Sci Fi story. I have tried several times to get into Star Trek. It's alright, but for some reason it never appealed to me. I used to like the old Battlestar Galactica, but I don't like the new one... My love for Star Wars began when I was 6, and the had these things called "Tazos" in crisp packets (I know, weird name). They were little discs that had grooves on the edges so that they could fit together, and they all had different pictures on them. When the special editions of the original 3 movies were released (about 1997) they put Star Wars pictures on Tazos... I barely noticed, but did admire the cool ships and stuff they had on them. Then using my Tazos I made a shape that my dad told me resembled a ship in Star Wars (TIE Fighter). He also told me that a film was coming out soon with these things in it, so I said I wanted to go... I sat in the cinema with loads of other people come to see the re-release. And as soon as that Star Destroyer rolled over the screen chasing the Tantive IV, I knew that it was something special... How right was I? -

What is the point of this...? Well I voted Dirk anyway... who voted EA... Come on... own up.... which one of you was it...? -
Excellent work I really need to stop by more! I love how everything is spread out. Nothing's too close... nice spacious gaps between buildings. And excellent use of the GLR!

We put two of our military regiments at your disposal! Excellent work, I love this story and how it's progressing! -
Now that I am in 5th form and I am a senior, I have chosen to become a Prefect. This basically means I wear a nice blazer with green lace around the edge and a shiny blue badge with "Prefecr" written across it, and spend two lunch and breaktimes everyweek telling younger kids what to do... It's fun! For example today, I wasn't meant to be on duty, but I was with a friend who was and we had fun telling kids to "stop hitting each other with the giant chess pieces" in the courtyard. So my question and the topic for discussion, is are you a prefect? Or were you when you were at school? Or do you hope to become one when you are old enough? And what do/did/will you enjoy about being a prefect, and do you have any memorable or funny stories?

Prefects!!!
The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz replied to The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz's topic in General Off-Topic
I don't see how it's favouritism... We put ourselves forward to be a Prefect, everyone gets the chance to be one. If you've had bad behaviour, then the teachers can stop you from becoming one, but only REALLY bad behaviour... -
Prefects!!!
The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz replied to The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz's topic in General Off-Topic
I apologise for the horrible picture quality, I took with a mobile phone. But here is a picture of my blazer, about the only thing (as you might be able to see) neatly hung up in my room! You can barely make out my prefect badge, just below and to the left (or right if you were wearing it) of the shiny one on the left lapel. The shiny badge is my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award badge which I proudly wear above my prefect badge. I don't think it looks as silly as I've made it sound! But you can decide that.
