It could be a good game, even if it's not Sim City

I have no doubt that the game will likely be 'fun' but thus far I think the title has changed too many of the fundamental things that make SimCity "SimCity"... I will continue to monitor the game's development - perhaps this version will be more fun for my wife, who enjoys Sims more than SimCity. In all likelihood I'll both CL2 and SC:S -> one saving grace is they are NOT calling it 'SimCity 5'.
