  1. No, the game has far too many problems beyond the online requirement.
  2. Apparently the simulation is actually running on the client (your PC), this could be proven my observing traffic data between your PC and the servers. The only information being shared is sync data for region play, saves and DRM.

  3. Make SimCity(5) 3D
