I won't buy it right when it comes out. I'll probably wait a bit, see some user videos on youtube, some reviews. Then decide if I want to pay $60 for it. Or maybe just wait until there's some sale on it (If there ever will be).

I went to https://www.sc4devotion.com to download the patch and it all worked fine. I found the correct file for Deluxe and North America and downloaded it just how the site said to. I got the "Congratulations! SimCity has been updated" window but when I checked the file sizes they were still the same. I also went to Report file in the SimCity 4.exe folder and it shows Version 1.0. I then went looking online and saw something about downloading all the Deluxe patches for the different territories so that's what I did. Still didn't work. I also downloaded the Vanillia SimCity 4 file for my region and again, nothing. I started and quit the game to see if that changed anything. I have 2 plugins in the Documents>SimCity 4>Plugins folder so I don't know if that's why it's not working. I couldn't figure out how to put my pictures on the actual post so I just attached them. If you could help I would really appreciate it.

Thanks azul for giving the link. Glad I'm not the only one with these update troubles. I'll buy it and see if it works. -Edit- It works! Much better than spending hours trying to find files and figure out where they go just to find out they weren't the right files.

I have the Deluxe version. Even if I didn't shouldn't the Vanilia patch have still worked?

I just click my mouse when it starts playing.
