  1. Upgrading to Mac OSX Lion?

I knew of wine since my past as a linux user, never really thinked to look for a mac version... ... how is it performance-wise ? Is more like the PPC+Rosetta one, or the UB (when not crashing) ? Mods - windows versions of course - stays compatible at all ? Performance is 10x better than the Intel version - running SC4 with Wine is faster than the Mac version EDIT: I'll retract that - it's not quite that much faster - I'd gotten used to running the PowerPC version because it was more stable for me and I'd forgotten what the intel version was like. It's still generally snappier and there's none of those texture bugs that pop up. Windows mods should still be compatible, but right now I'm in a bit of a classic mood so I'm playing modless. EDIT: Looking at WineHQ, you should be fine for mods SECOND EDIT: If you do decide to use Wineskin, use the following EXE flags: -d:software -CPUCount:1 -CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050x32 (or your resolution) Yes, it seems weird that you should use software rendering, but it's the fastest out of either DirectX or OpenGL.
  2. Upgrading to Mac OSX Lion?

Why wouldn't you just run the Windows version of SC4 using Wineskin? I've got Rush Hour going great under Lion and as a bonus, I'm now compatible with all the Windows stuff out there
