Prospect Park is still growing, but it already isn't much fun at rush hour.

I know there are a couple of "road top" bus and subway stops on the STEX that work with avenues (so you can just plop them on the road without having to bulldoze anything). I'm not sure if that's the kind of thing you're looking for, but it's a possible solution.
