blue-sinjid - Thank you for commenting, yeah, that road does look a bit odd, I'd better fix that now for more mosaics, I'm so nice
-
So a different city, more replies, time for a new reply banner! fyinbird93 - Thanks, I always try to label my photos but I often have trouble making up names for buildings. blue sinjid - Thank you, the building you ask for is actually only used once, it just has two towers. You can find it here at SC4 devotion - https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1842 SirUnger - Glad you like the pictures, more is on the way and thank you for commenting. Artur_001 - Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Now time for two more mosaics Enjoy and please do comment I do enjoy reading them.
-
More from the downtown of Cork. Thats all for now, enjoy.
-
replies hawkeye9 - Thank you, you don't have to wait too long fr the next mosaic. BlondeTwiggy - Thanks, so many compliments! blue sinjid - Thanks alot. tahill79 - Those seawalls just happended to be the only ones in my plugin folder at the time, so they wern't my first choice. Thank you for commenting. Now for another mosaic from Cork.
-
Replies flyinbird93 - Thank you, sorry your having to wait so long for an update! blue sinjid - Glad that you can now see the pictures, I think I might have condensed a whole region into one city tile anarchy0029 - Thank you, Sedgeford is actually a city but I guess the centre doesn't sprawl out much. Please keep the replies coming. As I said at the start, my first CJ was Cork and I had problems with the plugins on that, but guess what Cork is now back! We will be returning to Sedgeford later on but heres a teaser of whats to come in Cork. Enjoy
-
Just a couple more picutres today.
-
Artur_001 - Thanks a lot. I think with most sea walls you get an under bridge sea wall which basically just overhangs the land under the bridge. blue sinjid - Thank you, that is an awesome building you should find it here - https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=19772 ilikehotdogsalot - Thanks for commenting, glad you like the photoediting, it does take a bit of effort as I have to transfer the pictures taken on sim city in windows (gaming is much better on windows sadly) to photoshop on my mac. CraigKingOfIreland - Thanks, here is more for you We start at the Oxford Avenue Stadium, which has a cpapacity of about 60,000 The stadium is home to Sedgeford F.C, who are the traditional under achievers in the United Caren Premier Division. The Stadium before a match. Of course a city isn't a city without a city without a cathedral (well thats the case in the UK and my hometown hasn't been granted city status for that exact reason alone) and well heres the Sedgeford Cathedral. The Cathedral is located just off the high rise offices that line the river. Finally, heres a look at the city so far.

blue sinjid - Thank you, glad you like it. BlondeTwiggy - Thanks a lot, yes standards have been slipping, hopefully not in the quality of the pics. Update time, woo. I'm currently preparing a history update but ts not finished but I thought I'd show you the map I made. The map has a couple of name changes from Cork as I thought some of the old names were rubbish. Anyway on with the pictures... Just an overview of the area were looking at, the southern bank of the Sedgeford downtown. The three highrise office buildings on the bank. The south bank tower, the tallest building in Sedgeford. The glass emerald tower, the newest addition to the Sedgeford skyline. SCE Tower, home to the company South Caren Energy, hence the name. The South bank is also home to a lot of the older buildings in the city.

Thought I'd update you all with a small teaser, enjoy.

Oh no 4 days since the last update, something must be wrong! Ha Ha only joking, here comes another update but first the replies! CarmineHilton - Heh, I am indeed a big fan of ill tonkso's bats, mainly because they're Brittish and my folder of his bats were more organised than others so it survived when I re did my plugins folder. Thank you for commenting! edmonton_stinks - Thanks a lot for replying after every update so far, I really appreciate it. roboo1 - Thanks a lot for commenting! jacqulina - Glad you enjoy the pictures, I really enjoy making them too. JJC12321 - I'm trying but my standards are slipping on the frequency, ha ha. Thanks a lot for commenting. spore415 - I'll get back to you on the building, this is a Brittish style ish city and the city planners aren't well known for their speedy decisions anarchy0029 - Thanks, I'm glad you like the pictures. Well as you can see from the reply banner I have finally got the water mod working and have re done the bridge with a slope mod installed. Nothing new really in this update but thought I would show you these pictures.
-
edmonton_stinks - Thank you, I guess I'm just a lean, mean, updating machine Amerikaner - Thanks a lot, glad you like it. haljackey - I might have to pop in and tell them then. I've also re done the bridges with the slope mod and its looknig a lot more smoother. Also thank you for commenting. Keep your comments coming, I enjoy reading them but now time for another update!
-
haljackey - Thanks! The problem with the road textures is because I was using a mod which gets rid of the annoying grass next to diagonals but it doesn't work with the euro road mod. If anyone could find a solution to this I will be very greatful. Agreed about the slopes, I have aslope mod installed but not when I did the bridges. psander5 - Thank you. Yes, inner Leeds is awful traffic wise, didn't help that the directions decided to take me through the city centre. feliwi - Thanks for commenting! edmonton_stinks - The updates are coming thick and fast at the moment, I should really space them out a bit but oh well. On with the update! A little bit of overview for you, but I can't give too much away yet! The buildings above run along the avenue that leads up to the bridge.
-
edmonton_stinks - Thank you for commenting. jacqulina - Thank you, glad you like the seawalls. They wern't my first choice of seawalls but I think they look quite good too. spore415 - It will be modest tower, I'm resisting the temptation of putting up supertall skyscrapers everywhere. roboo1 - Thanks, honoured that you can use this as insporation for your CJ , which is excellent so far. JJC12321 - Most of the buildings I have shown so far are made by ill tonkso and porkissimo. Glad your enjoying it and thank you for commenting. blue sinjid - Thank you! Mosaics are great, a bit of a faff but worth it. I was going to post an update now, but I messed up the mosaic so you'll have to do with just one picture I forgot to put in the last update. I'm such a meanie
-
Another update wooo. We start off by moving across the bridge... Bridgewater Place perhaps one of my favoruite buildings on Sim City, probably because a few weeks ago I was stuck in traffic in Leeds for ages. Anyway the building is a shopping centre and offices.
-
ooh, a fancy banner. panthersimcity4 - First comment! Thank you! Amerikaner - Thanks for commenting. Yeah I agree the water mod isn't the greatest and I have been trying to change it but I can't because I think the terrain mod I'm using won't let me. :S BlondeTwiggy - Thanks, glad you like the w2w buildings, I didn't use them much in Cork but hoping to use them a lot more here. anarchy0029 - Thank you, I'm glad you like it. spore415 - Thanks for commenting, I guess I could find your bank an office or a branch somewhere, as I get quite stuck for names edmonton_stinks - Thanks a lot, I've added a bit of describtion but I'm not really a storyteller.
-
Well heres my first CJ, I'm no Sim City veteran or writer but hopefully you will enjoy the sites of Cork (no relation to Cork, Ireland!). The Cork Financial District, many companies hav moved into this area due to its close links with the Cork Internation Rail Station, the Motorway and the Cork underground hub (just out of picture). The main building in this area is the Finance Tower, at over 400 metres tall it is currently the largest skyscraper in Cork.
-
connorc24 - Thanks alot! penguin007 - Thank you for commenting. I showed earlier the early plans for an olympic bids, here are some pictures of the advanced plans. The main Olympic stadium, which will host the Athletics. The swimming pool. The proposed velodrome. Two together at night. The Ice skating arena and tennis courts. Softball\baseball ground, these sports are not too popular in Cork but the ground will be ocnverted to a cricket ground after the Olympics. One of the proposed appartment developments in the Olympic village. Indoor arena, which will host most of the indoor sports. The centre piece of the non sport development in the village. A luxury hotel. Another hotel/appartment building planned in the area. The Rainbow tower, a hotel during the Olympics but will be converted to offices and appartments afterwards. Finally an overview of these buildings at day and night.
-
jacqulina - Thank you psander5 - Perhaps went a bit overboard with the trees, but I do like a bit of greenery with the skyscraper madness. timcravey - Thank you, yes the wonderful guys making these BATs really do make the city. Might do some more historical things but I'm a bit awful with names and stuff. fabsies55 - Which twin tower do you mean? Also thank you for commenting. Time for more pictures and more skyscrapers! A couple of mosaics, sorry for the zot thing at the bottom, just pretend it doesn't exist
-
A very nice region you have. I would advise getting a water mod to make the river look better.
-
psander5 - Thank you! I wouldn't say inspired but I probably got the idea from the London games. As I said before I have been going over some areas and this update shows some of the change I have made to the CBD. A closer look at some of the buildings. Sorry the update is a bit rushed
-
art128 - Thank you, I'm glad you like it dmscopio - errr planning? Thanks for commenting and also thanks for your wonderful BATs. dfnva - Interchanges arn't really my thing, and those roundabouts are meant to be round but its easier to make them squareish. edmonton_stinks - Thank you, its kind of based on an office complex near where I live. Only this one has more trees and lakes. boon1234 - I'm glad you like it, thank you for commenting roboo1 - Thanks, I have been trying to improve the railways recently. fabsies55 - I'm glad you like the residential areas as they are quite tricky to get realistic. More development in Cork, this one hasn't started yet but is a very big and exciting plan. The journalism is poor but oh well.
-
Twenty20 - Glad you like it, the seaport is one of my favourite areas too. suby - I used to experience alot of crashes, but I think I might have fixed that now, hopefully. SirUnger - Thank you for commenting. Its been a while since I have updated this, what with holidays and other stuff. Recently I have gone back over a few areas to improve them and here is a preview of one of the many new developments. An office complex just outside the financial district.
-
ky72x - Thank you for commenting. connorc24 - Thanks alot, I'm glad your enjoying the CJ. Time for more suburbs! Finally an overview of the suburban town of Highfield.
-
psander5 - Here are the links to the buildings I showed close ups of and thank you for commenting. Port Tower - https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1266 Department of Education - https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=6 Department of Transport - https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=828 MOD - https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1679 - https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1680 Parliament Building - https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=19149 SirUnger - Thank you, I'm glad you like it. rainyday - I think the seawalls are these -https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=114 I also made a quick basic tutorial on how I use them. Firstly you terraform out the land you want, using the leveller/flattening tool. Then mark out the line your coast, with roads, this will be where the seawalls will go. Using the leveller tool this time make a 1 tile cliff around the road, it doesn't have too be too accurate yet. Add your seawalls but you may get bits where the cliff comes out of the seawalls. Just use the levelling tool lightly to get rid of them. Then your done! fabsies55 - Thank you for commenting, yes a region shot would be nice but lets just say it currently has a few bugs. An airport is also currently under construction so we should see one in the future.
-
Just a preview of the next update, and we wil lbe back visiting the suburbs. This time to the town of Highfield and on the other side of the river, which could do with a name!
