(PS! this is counted under extras to update 10) Picture 10.5 -This is the area just east of downtown croftham, on the other side of MC-11 (maybury county freeway 11). Picture 10.6 -This is Croftham downtown area. Picture 10.7 -Area of Croftham hills; close-up. Picture 10.8 -Same area just further away, nice huh? Picture 10.9 -This is the new buissness area in upper Croftham. Nice cozy area, with lots of good resturants! -Threw this update together in a hurry, I can promise that the next will be better! -please comment!

-WoW dude, nice update. Really like how you used that Statue in the Industrial park. Looks really cool next to that highway. -Have you ever made some big suburbs? I can remember some small, but mostly they are collections of numerous villages. But I haven't been to Spain or Mallorca so I dunno how you build stuff down there. I'm pretty sure it's like most of europe though, where every city has lots of villages around it. Though there are some big modern cities here that have big suburbian areas. Ever thought of building one? Here is a very masculine, agressive, berserker bunny from Norway to you! (almost like one of those that you see in holy grale by Monty Python, that jump up and bite your throat, haha)... But just almost... ------> edit: Ill go with 2 too...

YOu should always have two partitions on your HDD. one small for Windows, and one big for progs and games. That way, you don't loose any stuff when you format...

Hi everyone, -From now on, everything will be a little bit different! Well I thought I should spice up the whole CJ with some story. Before I started this CJ, before I even started to build on this beatuiful region, I had this other region that I wanted to start a CJ on. It was about Three countries, one English speaking, one German speaking and one Norwegian speaking. I wanted to integrate a history, and conflicts into this region, but after a while I lost interest. Then I started this region. At the beginning I didn't really have much idea about how it would turn out. After a while though, when dhoppeii (strange name though ) asked me about what this CJ was about, and what kind of society Maybury was, I got an idea. I thought i should put some history and action into it, but also show how I build my cities, and rural areas. SO from now on, this CJ will have much more action, but will also have normal updates, as I had before. So, I'm going to start off with some information about this area. The region is just a small part of a huge planet that humans found more than 600 years ago. Because of the planets good climate and beautiful landscape, it became a magnet for tourists, and settlers. The big corporations and rich countries all wanted their share of this beatuiful place, but this was impossible without conflict. After a new union was founded to make sure that all rules of settelig this planet where kept, the conflicts became smaller, until they almost dissapeard and life became peaceful once more. 600 years later, conflicts grew as the republics of Maybury and Dalrissia waged war against eachother for no particular reason. Word on the street in Maybury was that the Dalrissians where enslaved by a dictator who wanted to expand his country. The same was said about Maybury in Dalrissia. The reason for this was that both republics had closed them selves from the world around them, execpt for export and import of goods. All foreign information was illegal, and it was impossible to cross any borders. The neutral lands next to these rival countries where defended by the Universal Union, so that this war wouldn't grow and plagarize these countries. Nobody tried to find a solution to this conflict, the head secretary of the UU said -that they would like to see the countries come to a solution, but the UU wouldn't help to ensure one. They thought that It would just be more dangerous to try and stop both of these nations. So they would just stand by and watch wich of them would win... Here is a map of this area of conflict. Both nations became unions with allied nations back on eath. These unions ensured that both countries where supplied with whatever material they needed. This is a picture of the situation when the conflict started: Do you think this sounds interesting??? -Well then stop by tomorrow for the next update. -Please ask questions if you have any, and please comment my updates! ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- EDIT: *PLANS WITHDRAWN* -It's impossible for me to make up much history or action, because of the massive amount of work that I have to do to get some good grades for my exams... -BUT I will continue to show pictures of the region and some progress that I have done.

Now off to UPDATE 10! In this update I want to show you the new city I started, well about 3 hours before I posted it here. It is called Croftham, and has huge growing potetial because of it's neightbour city Maybury city. It also has a great place for a good harbour, but that has not been built yet. Croftham is a much more relaxed city than West Chester, or Maybury city, not only because of it's smaller size, but also because of it's location. The city has a small, but beautiful beach, and some nice and calm hillside areas to grow houses on. Now, enough said, let's go to the pictures!!! Picture 10.1 -The Croftham hills are famous for their nice locations and loveley view over Croftham and Maybury city. These hills will later be much more populated, but as I said the city has just been populated. ( sorry for leaving grid and UDI on, aarrghh) Picture 10.2 -This is a part of Croftham downtown, and the Croft tower. Croft is the family name of a rich family who have lived here for hundreds of years, and also started to cultivate and build in this area. That was how this city got it's name. Picture 10.3 -This is the central residential area just east of Croftham city centre. Not much to tell about it, just one of those normal res areas that all cities have. Oh yeah, this area is called Claverine, after the city's first mayors daughter... Picture 10.4 - I personally like this area very much. It lies just south of Croftham city centre, and is right next to the city beach. Love that area, just love it! More pictures of the beach will come later when I have sorted out some problems with viewing it properly. -Well that was all for today. School has been hell as I said, but thank god (???) that I am finished with it this year. Later dudes and dudettes!!

Ottooo: You mean this? : Mobil Don't know the other ones though! PS! Very nice Jeronij, like you valleys alot, and that new bigger city looks like it can be a facinating port!

First of all, PAGE TWO! whohoo!!! Mikeaut1: -Thanks! Yeah, it is getting along, thanks for the comment and please come back for the next update! dhoppeii: -Welcome back! Yeah, I told you that you where right! I like to build dense, but then not too many high buildings and as many green areas as I can stuff in between streets and houses. Another good thing about trees is that they cover up for wall to wall building, so if there is a plain wall you can just put trees next to it and it looks more natural! -About the MGM, well it really isn't called MGM, or Maybury General Motors. The facility consists of several lots, one from some car factories, and the big lot, wich the one on the picture, is the Newman Inc. Aerospace division by citynut! Here is the link: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=1769 -I don't know if I will be able to post a update today, because I have some schoolwork to do, but I will definatley post one tomorrow! In the mean time, for you who haven't seen all of the pictures yet, well enjoy them, and for you who have, well be patient! Adieu!

jasperdeman.nl: Yeah, I love tramlines too! To bad they aren't integrated into the road as they are in real life. Well maby they'll be there in SC5, but thats probably just a dream, heh. Well keep coming back, cause there will be lot's more of that good stuf, I hope . superchad: Thank you, too bad it's not very developed. Only 3 cities, but that will change! petriknl: Well, in the beginning, Maybury was a county, but I'm not too sure about that anymore. I want to add some more history later on, but you'll have to wait for that! Got a good idea right the moment I read your post. The black busstops, well I think they work, heh, haven't really checked them I think. My tram system works very well at the moment, so I haven't thought much about the bus stops. I'll definatley check them out though! 9.4, You mean the Cathedral don't you? I am pretty sure it's the Sim Cathedral, and you can get it on the STEX. Here is the link: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=10939

hahah, what a boring city. LOl I would have killed my self, well probably the mayor first, before I would live in such a place! PS! how do they get or buy food??? hehe do they all live off Hospital food? HAHAHAHAH, poor poor souls!
-
Very nice indeed, If it looks good, it is definatley a download! keep it up!

WOW! -I'm on page one, and I have posted 9 updates already, am I posting too often? -Though, I am dissatisfied with the amount of people who place comments in this CJ, would be great if you would do it more often as it keeps my interest up, and gives the whole thing a meaning. So PLEASE COMMENT! or REQUEST! or give me some HELP if you want to, or ASK about HELP! +I hope you understand my english, it has been some time since I have learned any... -Well, let's begin! - Here are some pictures of the Maybury area. The first picture is of 'North Mulberry district', and the Maybury cathedral! align=baseline> -The next picture is Camden district. It lies directly north of Mulberry, and is a denser populated area because of it's location close to the MGM and the industrial area. Camden is named after 'Camden Town' in London, because they have a great place there called Underworld in wich I partyed so hard, ooohh... that was a f***** great place! -The next picture is of the MGM, but at night. This huge complex gives over 30,000 Maybury's a work, and payes them well! FACT: The average income for a sim in Maybury is 93,000!!! not bad huh? -And the life expectancy is 92 years! LOL!!! Well that was all for today. Pleace tell me if you want something changed, or you think that it would be interesting if I built something else in next update, cause nobody have really shown much interest in some days, .
-
Welcome to update 9! This update will be very interesting, cause I have finally started up Maybury city, and I have some pictures of the central residential area. The population isn't that hight yet, only about 80,000, but This city will grow larger, and will attract more sims outside it's city limits. Here are the pictures! Picture 9.1 -As you can see, the city is a european built city, and has a good traffic system (though a little overloaded at some times, but that is how it has to be). I think that those rail intersections may look a little odd, but that is how Sim city is and i can do only little about it. Picture 9.2 -Here is a close up of a residential area called Mulberry. In this district there is a big amount of nice condos and villas located along the streets. In the upper left corner you can see the entrance of the Maybury cathedral. Picture 9.3 -This is the upper parts of Mulberry, since it's closer to the central buisness area it is also much more densed populated. Picture 9.4 -A nice picture of Calden district. Picture 9.5 -If you have enough money, then this is where you may want to live. Mayside beach is one of the most expensive areas to live in in Maybury city. NO WONDER, just look at it! Picture 9.3 -Here you can see the upper area of Mayside district. This is where the residential area begins to go over in a area filled with big tourist sucking hotels and resorts. Well that was all for today. Since the easter is finished now, I'll probably just update once every day, or maby less.. We'll see. Cause soon, the school will be a living hell! Hope you enjoyed this update!
-
Well I'm back! This is the, eh... yeah, time for update nr. 8! Update 8 -Well in this update I want to show you my progress on Maybury City! Wohoo! As you can see I have not started the clock yet, so there is still much to be done, but I got some requests on how I build up my city, and here is a good overview. I like, as you may see, lots of green areas, but that has a connection with the mayor of Maybury and his campagne, but more of that later... A good transportation system is also very important, and mine is very european. I have got a big tram sytem running through like veins in this grand city. This offers good coverage, but I have also built a subway system for quicker and safer transport from the res areas to the buisness area downtown. My city also has a good bus coverage, so my sims should not have any problems getting around... -Well to the pictures! Picture 8.1 align=baseline> -This is the Beach front, not far away from Maybury city downtown. In this area there is a huge amount of hotels that draw thousands tourists every year. Picture 8.2 align=baseline> -This area is the main residential area in Maybury city itself. This part of the city was built over 600 years ago, when salt was found in the areas around Maybury city. Picture 8.3 align=baseline> -As you see, salt isn't the most important industry in Maybury city anymore. The Maybury General Motors is the biggest industry in the whole region, and brings the city thousands of workers. MGM, as the brand is called, has a cooperation with the smaller company in West Chester. These two car factories are together one of the biggest car manufactoring industires in the whole sim world! Well that was all for now, I may add a smaller update later today.. And remember to leave a comment! Thank you!
-
Oh my, I'm speechless. It really reminds me of driving through southern parts of europe, though I have never been to Spain.. May be going there tough, to visit un amigo in Barcelona. -I can see on the transportation map and everywhere else that you love parks and green areas as much as I do, They look so good, keep it up! Is this right? :Usted ha hecho un gran trabajo ?
-
Dhoppeii: Well, Its not a custom lot, and, well to be honest, heh i dunno if they are fences or walls, but i use them more for walls than fences. Oh found them on my PC, they are called Wall Deco, i have attached them to this post. Couldn't find them on the STEX... -I am pretty sure that those are the right files if not, well maby someone else know their location... -I can assure you that these files contain only the necessary files, no trojan or virus,.. just incase u wondered. EDIT: AArrghh, the file wont show up! But ST tells me that it is attached! Well maby it just takes some time... Gundamdude: Thank you so much, I try my best! I'll update tomorrow, so please return. Until then Good night!
-
Well i dunno Tim, Never seen this one before, and I probably never would have if it weren't for that... You have to agree on that it's very interesting.
-
Maby changing the subject a bit, but talking about split buildings check this one out! heeh -What are your plans forward? Is there a BAT group that want's to take on and build a beautiful split building?
-
yes, this is truly a masterwork Jeronij, you will never stop to amaze me. Keep up the outstanding work!
-
Updates are coming often today, this is the second one... Just a small eyecandy picture really... MAYBURY CITY -Sneak peek align=baseline> ENJOY! -PLZ reply, only takes a minute!
-
Thought I should post a small update. UPDATE 7 As the government and the people of Maybury got more and more afraid of terrorist attacks, the mayor thought it was necessary to secure their idustrial areas against this new threat. Do not let these fences fool you! They are secured with enough electricity to kill an elephant, and each control post has a hidden mounted MG, so watch out! Though they look kinda nice don't they? Well let's hope the terrorists think so too? Picture 7.1 Picture 7.2 Well that's it for today, please leave your comments below this line! -Don't you dare write over it!!!! -------------------------------------------------------------

GLENNI: wow, you from norway too? Cool, well yeah, norwegian road textures would be cool, and I would like to make some maby, but how? hehe, though it would be easier if those brits would help out, but they have to make their own I guess . EDIT: is there a tutorial for making road textures?
