CITY UPDATE: MAXWELL-MULTINATIONAL todays update will be on the third island of maxwell-multinational, it will be looking at what development i have made on the island and how it developed, first off i will show you a picture zoomed out of the island as it stands now. This new development on the third island is a residential district where those middle wealth citizens may dwell as well as some high wealth if they wish, transportation? outstanding, service coverage? excellent, education? superb, friendly neibourhood? no doubt about it, this is certainly a must for any family, the best place you can let your children roam free (just dont let them on the highway, splat) Ok i know what ur saying, ur saying 'why the hell has he put coloured lines along all the transportation options' well i can tell you that i actually done this for a reason. And that reason is that it is easier to describe what transportation options are the most important to the island, all that is shown in Red is the utmost important, anything in Blue is the next most important as it is a bypass from the highway, and last but not least is Green, now anything in Green is still important, but is considered the least important. The next pic is the same as the last but at a different angle and developed. The medium residential density goes well against the residential tower blocks, and the nice scenery of forrestry and beaches. This next pic is the next part of my development, the only access to the outside worled is via the highway through one onramp, this is because it is only a small area and therfore only needs minimal transportation, the same rules apply Red=important, Blue=quite important and Green=least important. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files/Maxwell18.jpg border=0> Now thats what i call a perfect place to live, its all you could ever want, except maybe for winning the lottery. Well thats all for now, i hope you have enjoyed my presentation of my new residential sector on the third island of Maxwell, until next-time.......... Good bye. smirkazor comments are welcome and should be compulsory. -
Well chara, im not sure what to say, im astonished, you have really outdone urself this time, the cj is awsome, i like the goose times you have goin there, only if i had the time, and the effort to actually make my cj more appealing, with all my exams comming up, i just dont have the time. u dont want to hear about me, this is all about you, well done, give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it. smirkazor

River Basin: The region where anything could happen
smirkazor replied to smirkazor's topic in SC4 City Journals
what im planning to do is actually have the island split up into 4 parts, one (what im doing now) for the less fortunate people who live in tower blocks, one for commerce skyscrapers, another for wealthy sims, and the next, well im not too sure about that, maybe you should tell me what to put in the last quarter, yeah. i want everyone who reads this update to tell me what they think should be best fitted into one of the 4 quarters my last isle is made up of, in other words, the parts that are seperated by the highway. smirkazor -

the part of 'Maxwell-Multinational' that i am currently working on is the last island that has yet to be built on, i am aming for this island to be comprised of both commercial and residential structures, and to make this island like somewhat of a holiday destination, mile long beaches, lots of greenery, and of course transportation links a transporter could die for. here is a pic of the island with just the transport options built along with some civic buidligs. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files/Maxwell12.jpg border=0> once the i done the layout i started off by zoning the residential to get the sims moving in. not long after the zones were almost full. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files/Maxwell14.jpg border=0> the work force of this little island wont have very far to go as the commercial district is just across the river/sea, they can travel in 5 types, subway, highway, rail, raised rail and boat, what ever mood their in, weve got it. thats all for now, but more little updates like this soon to come. smirkazor -

hey all. for this update i will be placing some random pics from this region for ur pleasure. the first picture's of the day is a picture of one of maxwells built up islands. This island holds one of River Basin's most prosperous commercial districts, it is complete with lesiure facilities such as the millenium stadium. (other wise known as Maxwell stadium of baseball) as well as many beaches and parks, and is surrounded by the regons most sacred trees to make it that more pleasurable. The main centre of this commercial district is located to the opposite side of the island to where the stadium is situated. Great transportation links to the mainland are always available, including railway, highway, subway, raised rail, and of course ports help to make this commerce highly accessible in anyway possible. You may also notice that this is the most built up area on the island, as its great views out onto the bay, and has access to the cities top of the range leisure facilities make this a perfect place for great buisness opportunities. This next pic is of the regions only existing international airport, it is setup of the edge of the largest islands because of its amount of noise pollution it creates. It also has great road connections to the mainland via tunnels and highways as well as a small port for maximum use of the facilities it offers. As well as its great situation, it has an amazing view from the terminal, overlooking most of the regions bay, a great place for arriving visitors as they see how beutiful the city is, their expectations can only grow. Moving on, with Maxwells over whelming population of over 600,000 traffic can be a real problem, especially when going on and off the main transportation option, the highway. we all know how busy off ramps can be, so ive come up with an ingenious design for maximum traffic flow, and here it is. as you can see i have placed an avenue running alongside the highway, what i have done is build like a loop intersection thingymajig, to get the maximum capacity roads the city badly needs, thnx for this there are now no more problems with this road, just to let you know how bad this was, the amount of cars and busses total up to just over 12,000 . my genius strikes again, lol. now i will leave you with an early picture for you to gaze over, it looks wuite nice. thats all for now, remember look out for my latest update to come out either late on sunday or, well, late monday . until next time, seeya. smirkazor comments are welcome and should be compulsory. -

Now for the closeups of the bits i had been developing, including a few snapshots of part of the city developing. one part of my city that is a great looking addition is the comemorable statue to the mayor , a wonderous tribute to the ruler of this great city, i give u 'smirkazor-statue'. it wouldnt be complete without giving u a look of the nightime effects that i deserve...............A LIGHT SHOW. ooooooooooooooooooohhh. and a little overview of what i developed. thats all for now, but keep looking for further updates to come, and something to leave off with, a nice nighttime pic of the residential part of my city, goodnight. smirkazor -

when im working really hard on a project or im just basically expanding my cities, i come up with all these different ideas, for example i decided to add that long curved steep hill, to make it interesting. so you can expect new and different setouts of cities throughout, so there is alot to look forward to. smirkazor -

hey everyone, it is time for another update, i have had some extra free time to continue with maxwell multinational. and it sure is looking great. i will first show the overall region look and then give pictures showing the different zooms of the newest addition to maxwell-multinational. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files/River%20Basin5.jpg border=0> next is the overview of the area i have developed. the newest commercial district to cope with the mass residential growth. a closer view of the large residential district. well thats all i have for now, its looking very nice. by the way, that long curved steep hill was made by freek plate movements in a very short amount of time which never effected anything else in the region, very wierd. smirkazor. comments are welcome and should be compulsory. p.s. only one person has had a guess at what that picture with the lights are, surly you could make an effort. -

smirkazor replied to smirkazor's topic in SC4 City Journals
well you wanted more screenshots, well u got it. this first one is the ever developing residential area on the mainland which is connected to the main island by tunnel and by highways. and to keep up with demand i built a new commercial district on one of the small islands in the delta as seen in the series of pics below. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files/Maxwell-Multinational19.jpg border=0> thats all for now, but there shore is more to come soon as i am now getting broadband 2morrow YESSSSSS. so there will be alot more. and just to finnish it off i had shown a similar pic before but this is a much closer view, and its the mysterious lights beneath the sea. can youi guess what it is? i will leave you guessing untill someone knows what it is, just to let you know i know what it is. smirkazor comments are welcome and should be compulsory -

thnx for ur comments, i apreciate them. about the bridge crossing the bay, i like the look out it, i could change it to a different one if you feel that strong about it. anyway now for the update, well closeup of maxwell multinational. this first pic shows the highway that goes across the seabed to connect it to the main commercial area. and a night view zoomed out one level. these next pics show the cities university. i dont think those lights are meant to be in the water. u cant seem them that well but its as good as i can do. thats all for now, seeyas l8er. smirkazor comments are welcome and should be compulsory.
