Wow Sloppet, this is really getting interesting! You know much more about the ancient history of Poland than i do of Holland;s history (where I'm from); I really love history, and I've always been much interested in it (right now I'm busy learning for an exam on the history of Western Philosophy); it seems your cj has become a place where game and education meet! Didn't know for example about the myth of the Lech, the Czech and the Rus (I saw a documentary once on Discovery about the roots of Scandinavia and the Vikings; there they stated that the 'Russians' descended from a particular group of Vikings, that moved to Russia and followed the course of the river Wolga, and eventually settled there, forming eventually what we now know to be Russia. Btw, didn't the Magyars eventually settle in Hungary? I do know that the Hungarians are no slavic people, but have the same roots as the Finns... Great update; you made me want to learn more!

The Palace of fine arts is looking awesome! And all that history attached to it... I guess this is the right place to learn a lot of interesting stuff on the history of a great metropole

And that wine-taste flyer is even more impressive You've done an impressive job on the city-layouts as well: the lush farmlands, and the hotel looks very realistic, with the big parking lot besides it. It kind of reminds me of a hotel I stayed at last summer, when I was in Copenhagen for a few days Look forward to more!

Welcome back Sloppet! This cj seems to be very promising, I'm curious about Cleres and its history. It seems to drown in melancholy when I read the prologue... it kind of reminds me of a very black page in European history, about 66 years ago... which also started in an Eastern European country... Good luck!

Like the downtown area, its setup is very spacious so it doesn't become a skyscraper forest; good work on the pucture editing as well!

Many congratulations on Nexis' 100 year jubileum! Great update as usual MrBisonm; have a small question though: are those skyscrapers grown or plopped? I'm running into 'problems' growing them; although my plugin folder is stuffed with almost any skyscraper there is (growable versions), only a limited number are showing up, while demand is great. How do you deal with this? It can't be the size of the zones, because they change automatically when a larger building is constructed... Could be traffic, but i have the radical version of the NAM installed, good mass transit, etc. I wish you a nice holiday!

@ Toxicpiano: Well, that's just a very clever solution to the restricted image-size of 800x600. Now you can still post large mosaique-images without exceeding the picture size (however it does take some painstaking work stitching them perfectly together)

Great update! I love the english rowhomes, and the Medical Center Research Complex is situated very well in that green park area, together with the fountain. Great work!

I'd like to add something to all this information: If you start a cj, you'd like to have lots of comments from others. However, others want the same, so if you want more people commenting on your journal, just post comments in other cj's you like as well! This helps you getting noticed by the community, and perhaps they will be curious to your own cj if they read a comment from you in their thread. Second: be polite. What I mean by this, is the following: I always get a much better feeling when visiting and commenting on a cj, when the creator of that cj reacts on my comment and doesn't ignore it. A simple thanks for dropping by will do wonders. People feel recognized by this, and they keep coming back, because they know their comment is appreciated. (Once you don't reply to it, nobody knows how much you liked a comment except you).

That area is looking very nice, with all those seasonal trees, great work. I don't mind you're busy in real life, there's just so many cj's out there, it gives me the time to comment on others in the meanwhile...
