  1. hi, i play a large city, the population is around 450 K,and one part of the city is full of radiation.. there used to be a power plant there, but it was burnt up.. now, the environment bar is at zero, always red never green, and won't go up.. everything else is fine, the education bar, health bar, and other bars are good.. how to solve this problem? can anyone help me to eliminate the radiation without deleting the city? thanks so much for the help..

    hello, i think there is a way to do it.. using the start up manager from this site, i have created some new regions using the tool and it works just fine.. the tool provides an edit feature on the city tiles and arrange from small to large tiles and also on how big the region should be (16x16 and 32x32 or any other region size) but if you want to combine 4 big already established & occupied cities, i dont have a clue.. hope this helps..

    ok, here is my attempt on making my city transportation map.. the city is called Berlinal, and this is the greater berlinal transportation scheme.. the city itself is stil on progress, and the transit map is made by MS paint, saved into JPG so the graphic is not very good.. the station names are not yet decided, but some i already have in mind.. circle marks are metro stations, dotted lines are underground (subway), square blue boxes are the interchange with the railway square red boxes are the interchange with railway and HSR lines..

    yeah, kinda agree with david.. there should be a seperate tutorial on how to make good transportation map, and bennedict should start it.. me, i'm currently still using MS paint, and it's not very good.. i have photoshop, but i dunno how to use it..

    thank you sc4boy and andreas.. now my question is must i load the city/region from SUM to get the desired only plugins to show in a city/region? if i created 2 or more cities and make each a profile, can i load 1 from the SUM than in the game play on other cities? again, thank you..

    hi, happy new year to you all.. just a simple question, i don't really understand what is meant by "All profiles are bound to a region context. That means that you will see the same profiles in the list view for every city in the same region". Is that mean that one profile is for whole region or each city in the region can use different profile made? let's say, in a region, 1 large city and 4 big cities, can i make for each city separate profile so that plugins loaded for one city (commercial city, many skyscraper plugins) are not going to be loaded for other cities (industrial or residential) or vice versa.. one more thing, i also have the DATPACKER, but i can't load plugins packed with the program in the startup manager. Are both programs not compatible with each other? thank you a lot for the explanation.. cheers..

  9. problems with canal set

    hi seltay, i dunno where are you from, but some keyboards are not english based.. anyway, i try to put a standard keyboard picture for PC, and as you can see the picture, the home-end key (the red circled) is located between insert-delete and pg up-pg dn or in the numpad on number 7 & 8.. so that is it.. i'm really sorry, i wasn't trying to insult your knowledge or so, but i think seeing is believing.. no offense.. so, enjoy..

    no crissa, i think the minimum tiles to build tunnel is 3 tiles not 5 tiles.. but 5 tiles are also ok..

    great... now i know the problem, i think i just obliterate the city, start over again.. i hate to see dilapidated buildings, where it darkened.. hehe.. anyway, bbfan, thanx a lot for your info.. just quick question, that radical mod, is it compatible to the NAM, where in NAM there is the pathfinding stuffs right..?

    oh yeah, as additional.. now it seems most of the high wealth population abandoned the buildings, especially residential ones.. if not abandoning, the buildings dilapidated to med wealth or even low wealth.. from the graphs i have, the education level is ok, and health level is too.. could the radiation and environmental issue be the cause of it? the high wealth population abandoned the buildings based on the commute time.. my commute time is now 0.4 (i dunno if that is good or not), and at some places, i put bus stops right in front of the buildings.. still, they are abandoned.. i put parking lots, but they are being unused.. please.. help.. hehe, thanks so much..

    well, it can be used, but i think your cheat only works if i don't want to have power plant in my city.. my problem is that the old power plant that burnt up, which i don't use anymore, kinda leave a radiation behind, and the soil ground kinda affected.. and i think that affect the whole demand in my city, because of the zero environment bar.. so can your cheat eliminate the radiation or only allow me to be free of power plants? thanks, and sorry for such questions..

    like i said, i had a power plant, it was the rectena microwave, then it was burnt up, so i built another power plant, cleaner one from NOB on another corner of the city.. everything is fine in the particular area, except for the area where the rectena was there before.. it is radiated and i have planted some god mode trees there, but nothing happened..

    okey, i haven't back up the city at that time, i kinda ignore the radiation at first because it was on one corner of the city as i built my city first on another corner.. so, the most suitable solution is just start up a fresh one?

    "regional municipality"... i like those words.. yeah, i now have the perfect map for that.. the in-game Berlin region, modify a bit, and become a good peninsula, or cape.. i wanna start a CJ with this modified map, i just need to do something else related to completing the CJ preparation, and lots of RL.. haha.. thanx N_O..

    yo guys, what program are you using to make such great maps? i mean, i don't know anything and i only use windows paint to draw my map.. and it's a bit awful, with the blurry and everyhing.. (asked & answered, sorry) evil weasel, bennedict, buster, dzigns, how do you guys draw your maps? what program do you use? other thing, do you combine several city tiles of a region to make one city name or your cities are basically one large tile of a region? thanx...

    thanks godzillaman, because IMO, a whole region based city is too big, but a tiles based city could reduce the reality touch on the region, as if the region is a nation.. and you are right gridlock, i think so too.. that is why i'm still measuring pro and cons of the options.. well, i guess i'll stick to the tiles.. the large tiles would be the capital, big tiles surrounding would be the supporting cities and suburbs, and the rest would be farmland..
