Louisville: I meant those 3000 square foot McMansions are small in comparision to other McMansions that I have seen or been into. Theres another subdisvision that is a little bit over a mile from my house but in another town that average around 5200 square foot, but because of their towns zoning laws, they are on 2 acre lots but they sell for around $1.7 million dollars! Here's a prime example of a McMansion that is for sale by me. It is a small subvision, only 6 lots, on a former horse area/wooded acreage with an excellent view of the public golf course.

they are disgusting. toll brothers built a bunch (maybe around 50, im not sure) 1 1/2 a way from me. the ones here most on the small side, about 3000 sq each on at most 1/10th of an area. there is only about 4 different models, each with a tiny bit of customization. At least 9 or 10 have an excellent view of a pharmacecital company's buildings. The mcmansions in the subvision 'Ridgebury Hills' , built in 2000, sell now for about $700,000 +- .

i don't like 'skyscraper cities.' they look completly unreal and usually the few i have made had major trafic problems, even with a well desgined mass transit system. my current region is very realstic. the population is 103,500 for the region with 25,000 living in the 'city center'. it looks very realstic.

it just happened to me, but it hasnt happened prior to this in a while. I built a new exit to a new avenue loop around the cbd, completed the avenue loop, torn down an old stadium, tore down a high school to build a new arena right off to the new avenue loop and built the new high school where the old stadium was. it's frustrating to lose about 45 minutes of work.

danbury isnt really decaying. sure, there are some areas that have seen better days kind of near downtwon and toward westconn and the hospital that have becoome kind of dumpy nad some of the have became multi-unit (mostly redone without permits) into hoyusing for new american citizens or illegal immigrants. however, there are lots of nice neighborhoods that you havent seen in danbury im sure because they are kind of away from things (such as the mall and city-center) such as the aunt hack, king street and the various subvisions near candlewood lake. to put danbury in the same league as waterbury and bridgport is is not really a good call.

Pa is pretty bad for road work. One way I used to drive to school was done I-81 from Scranton down to Harrisburg (to get onto 83 to yorK) then I stopped taking that last October (sr year in college) bc they seemed to be taking at least 3 years to fix up about 20 miles of it down by Lebanon and I checke penn dot Saturday and they are still working on it for about another year. The way I go now to school is connecting onto 78 in Allentown but right one when you outside of city limits, ithink, there is massive congestion since the 2 lanes become 1. I swear it took me about 25 minutes to go 4 miles to the end of the merge point to when the road for 4 miles become 1 lane (averaging at 35). I think they started that sometime last year or early this year, i'm not sure but there is always construction or maintence everywhere.

US RT 7 in Southwestern CT. It was proposed to be an expressway in 1957 to be completed in 1962. This main road is mostly 1 lane in each direction with the occasional areas that have gotten widened. Only about 4 miles of the route are built (3 of them north of danbury at the danbury-brookfield line) and 1 mile in southern Norwalk off of I-95. the state still owns about 90 % of the land to build it on but the upscle towns like wilton and ridgefield oppose building it still. It took me about 1hr and 15 minutes to go 20 miles last week when i was going home from New Haven (75 minutes from south Norwalk to southern danbury). The city is spending about $3 million to widen it about 500 feet!!In the last couple of months there has been at least 4 people killed on the current surface road and letters to the editor are starting to re-appear in the newspaper in support of the highway. for more info : http://www.nycroads.com/roads/US-7_CT/

metronorth is nice. that is the only way i go whenever i have to go into the city. I usually get a 7 minute drive over to the brewster station since i live in west danbury and go directly into the city instead of 15 minute trip to the downtown danbury station and i'd have to change trains in south norwalk.

its about time someone make a journal of my home county. If you need help with Danbury, northern Ridgefield let me know. Brookfield is in northern Fairfield county, not southern. I think you might have some problems with employment bc a lot of people commute to places not in the county (NYC, White Plains, New Haven, Hartford). Will you build Super 7?

i would start to do York but i can't find a map and im busy since its the end of the semester. I'd have all the poor houses to the north of the college and then the McMansions directly to the south of my apartment.

lancaster should be interesting to create with the walmarts, train station, park city mall and the train station. I've been over there a few times since i go college on the other side of the suquehanna river in york.

thats one giant region...
