I don't know if I can explain the details, but if it IS, just temporary, the reason some people can access it and some cannot is that DNS servers around the coutnry may update slower than others. Title and subject say it all. Is there a comprehensive site/page/list/whatever that has all the different building types and levels? I couldn't seem to find this anywhere.

Hmmm...pretty sure the only traffic we see in SC4 is sims travelling to and from work, and freight. It'd be kinda cool to do some Rush Hour missions flying some rock star across one of the larger tiles to get to his gig though.

Without industry, who is going to make all the products your commercial zones need to sell??? Of course, I'm joking, but I doubt there is a way to legitimately do this without some sort of mod to mess with the game's demand coding.

Thank you for your time, and your reaction to my post makes me see that I was referring to NAM as sort of "cheating". I didnt mean it like that at all if that's how I came across. I was just asking if it was so widely used because of how it makes anything easier or something....I didn't mean to apply a negative connotation as though I am judging anyone who DOES use mods to enjoy the game the way they want to. I just want to make sure I'm playing the game that *I* want to play.

I don't want to get into installing too many mods, especially any mods that make the game easier, but I would like some of the things that NAM has to offer as far as making more sensible routes for sims, etc... But is NAM really that essential? What are some of the "omg you NEED this mod" pros that I am missing out on by just playing the updated official version of the game? I only ask here in a new post as everything I've tried in the search engine "contains ignored words"

sigh. I know I'm the one asking for help, but at least read the thread. Everything I have is legit. It is the original copy that I've installed from a million and one times without a problem. I have my own key and everything. I can't think of any more information that I haven't already supplied in the thread. I may format again if I can't get this thing to work in the next few days.

Windows7 Professional 64bit, just the same as I was using before.

Never had trouble before. Got the patch from EA's site. Re-downloaded it 3 times. I have an official copy of the game with my own legit key. File size: 16.7 MB (17,586,448 bytes)

I've run as administrator. I've reinstalled into the Users/Public/Games folder.... It's not working and I'm done pulling my hair out for the evening. Thank you all for any help. -RL

I couldn't find anything on this. It gets to 5%, locks up and says "UPDATE_SKU1_TO_P1_B638 has stopped working" and then it does its terrible 'Windows is looking for solutions' thing and it's really irritating. I've rebooted, reinstalled SC4, looked into possible "read-only" issues...I just had it installed last week before I had to format and as much trouble I've had with SC4, I've never seen this before. Any advice?
