actually, I thought the same thing, now that vista is out, xp should be cheaper.. haha, actually not.. xp is still pretty spending at most retailers.. but you can pick an OEM xp sp2 at newegg.com for cheap.

apple's bootcamp software requires you to burn mac hardware drivers to a cd before install windows... its a well documented requirement on the bootcamp page.. when it doubt read the directions (link to pdf).. http://images.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/pdf/Boot_Camp_Beta_Setup_Guide_en.pdf hope it helps someone having problems getting bootcamp to work.

did you burn the windows drivers from the mac side before installing windows?
-
I was thinking outside the box, and not about bootcamp+windows, nor the mac version.. I was assuming someone, or anyone had luck compiling the PC version under bochs, cross over, or WINE to be used with X11 on the mac.. nothing against the mac version, its running full speed on my 2.66 Quad-Xeon Mac pro, but looking for more of an intel alternative soultion.. guess this is the wrong forum to discuss compiling the pc version under WINE for the mac, sorry for the confusion.. but glad to hear so many people having good luck with simcity on their intel macs.

I guess this is a new topic devoted to those who run intel macs.. Currently SimCity4 Rush Hour for Mac is PPC only, and has to be translated by Rosetta to play on the new Intel mac.. or.. you can install Boot Camp, Buy/Install Windows, Buy the PC version of the game and then reboot everytime you want to play.. The Windows solution sounds like the best way so far, considering you'd be playing the full pc game on native hardware.. but what are the other options we have? Bochs? CrossOver? WINE? what do you think? is there a better way to play simcity4 on our intel macs, without having to install Windows? what have been your experiments so far, and success stories?

Fellow Intel Mac User here.. before I reinvest in the pc version of RH, I was just curious of what kind of performance are you guys getting on your intel macs running SC4 with W.I.N.E.? does it faster than the PPC version, and is it a better gaming experience? last question, is the UDI running full speed and graphically smooth?

Leipzig would be primary.

thanks for the quick response.. i'd be happy with both the Bratislava and Leipzig trams. Let me know how you'd like to send them, I can private message my e-mail address if that would work best for you.. on a personal note: you've got a very nice selection of trams. I'm glad to see such great work contributed.

thanks for your help, however; is there a way to download your Tram Mod Package that isn't an .exe file? I've downloaded the file, unfortunately it won't open since i'm a mac user and your file is a windows executable.

I have a very busy GLR system in my city, and I noticed that my trains are very long, sometimes 8 or so cars.. is there a mod, or any way to make the trains appear as just a 2 car consist? id even settle for just 1 car.. ? or is this something that cannot be changed?
