  1. Yeah, that struck me to, that maybe your cites still are to small. But my cities just refuse to grow after about 200.000 inhabitants. Why?
  2. I don't know how to do it, I have only spent those 25 minutes each time...
  3. I have the exact same problem. It seems to kick in when the city reaches a certain size (Aprox. 150-200.000 inhabitants). This problem makes it extremely hard to re-develop central areas in my biggest cities, because I just can't count on the buildings coming back after I demolish and build a new avenue or whatever. Let me know if you find the answer
  4. Medium density works better than high density, but not good enough, they still build their crappy shacks. And even if it did work alot better, the problem isn't solved, I still can't demolish buildings in the high density areas of the city and expect them to grow back after i build avenues etc. And it still doesn't solve the main problem: The fact that the city grows a lot slower after reaching 100.000-150.000. And above that, I even have problems building light density, even though I have installed the NAM, so they should be able to drive quite a distance to get to work... Thanks anyway for your answers!
  5. Yeah, of course I could, but I wondered if it was anything I could do before modding. 'Cause there's nothing wrong with my demand, res and com demands are through the roof. But thanks for the suggestion!
  6. Hi! I have a problem I really don't understand, or at least not to the full. When I start building a city, I have no problem getting medium buildings (after aprox. 2000 citizens). However, I find it more difficult to get to build dense buildings, but it's not a big problem getting them up. However, when the city grows to a certain size, (I'd say about 150.000-200.000), it seems extremely much harder to get the zones to develop medium and dense buildings, both residential and commercial. For instance, if I have to demolish some buildings in my city centre, otherwise surrounded by tall, dense or medium buildings, the game refuse to build anything but $Res buildings, if it builds anything at all. It looks stupid with three small trailers inbetween two skyscrapers. I've tried to reduce traffic, pollution, planting trees, additional schools, healthcare, police, firestations, you name it, to increase the attractiveness of the lots, without any improvements. I also have tried to build them outside the city centre, where I know there won't be any pollution or traffic noise, and nothing happens. I have also done whatever I can to secure jobs in the close vincinity for the residential buildings, but still, nothing happens. As you might understand, this is irritating, both because it seems unrealistic (who could afford, or want to build a small house with a garden in the middle of manhattan?), and it's frustrating, because I can't plan the city the way I want, after the buildings are there, because I know they won't regrow after I demolish to build a new avenue etc. It's also frustrating because after 200.000, development is so slow, it takes forever to make the city grow bigger. Anyone who can help? Is there any mod I didn't get? Thanks!!
  7. GLR bug?

Transit enabled lots? Refresh my memory... Like roads? My initial thought was that it ocurred in combination with me using the custom GLR-stations, perhaps because these stations don't go well with the latest NAM. Is that far fetched? Thanks
  8. GLR bug?

I have a few questions about the GLR in the last NAM update (January). I never really thought of using it before I downloaded the january editions, and ran into a few problems. First of all, the NAM doesn't seem to contain any GLR-stops. Is that so, or am I doing something wrong? The real case: When I started building the GLR, after some time of construction, the SC4-program just shut down. It happens all over each time I try, so I've basically just given it up. Why could this be? I downloaded a few custom tramstations from the stex, (prague tram station I believe) prior to the January release of NAM, because NAM didn't seem to include any. Could this be the problem? Have anyone experienced anything like this? Thanks!
  9. Questions about RHW

Thanks, Haljackey, you really are a local hero! I'll start looking through the stex as soon as possible. Do you think you can explain the word of advice you gave regarding the tunnels, or link me to somewhere I can have it in detail? Thanks
  10. I have a few questions about the Rural Highway, and hope someone can help! 1. I have a texture problem with the tunnel entrances. Instead of a tunnel, the entrance is just sort of a "hole" in the map, leading to the blue background, similar to the one you see outside your city limits. Anyone experienced this, or have a solution? I think the traffic is running as it should, even though the entrance isn't visible, but the esthetics of it drove me to demolish them pretty quick. 2. I tried to upload an image here, which describes my second question. The image is from the RHW Readme file, the image file is called rhwpic3.jpg . Anyway, if it hasn't been uploaded the problem is easy to describe. How can I make RHW 2,4 or 6 run in a tunnel under similar lots? With roads or avenues, I had to place the tunnel first, then run the RHW over, it was impossible to do it the other way around. This partly relates to my first question, but the question is, what mod do I need, or what plugin, to get those neet tunnels that are shown in the image? 3. Why can't i build RHW-bridges?? Thanks for any help!!
