Use mods at own risk, some of them really destroy your game. Especially if you have a mod unlocking buildings.

zwr100 - Some mods do, like the extra plaza's mod causes most of my buildings not to work, and extra building mods have the same effect. I can however tell you for sure that the "larger plaza zoning" and "Sandbox" mods work without problem or slowing the game down.
