I didn't install it TO the desktop, I installed it FROM the desktop. As in I downloaded your installer to the desktop and then installed the program in the proper place. When I then remove the insatller from the desktop and start the program, it complains that it can't find the installer, which it should be finished with.

There is one more annoyance. If I move or delete the instal files from where I installed the DIC from (in this case my desktop), when I try to start the program it complains that the "network resource is unaailable".

Well, it popped up a dialog to set up my paths, and now seems to be working correctly. I have cleanitol, but not datpacker. Plugins are in the default location. SC4 is installed on a different driver, in my steam folder. English.

Odd, now it seems to be working better (gave me a message about needing to set up my paths manually) and now it's kicking out a different error message. lol

Both the DIC and the Organizer give me the error. Win7 64-bit. Deluxe Steam version. If I remember right the organizer gave me a screen to fill out paths the first time it started, but then gave the error when I tried to do anything. "The Path is not of legal form." As soon as I start them up. I have since uninstalled both, so if you need more specific information on the error let me know and I'll put them back on. EDIT- I do have the disk version as well, so I might be willing to install that if you think the error might be specific to the steam version.

Hmm... does the disk version work on a 64 bit OS?

I already own this game on disk, but with the steam sale I'm considering getting it on steam as well for convenience. Are there any downsides to the steam version when compared to the disk version? I should also ask, how does it run on Win7 64 bit?

Hmm... I see his stuff over there, but I see nothing with the name "trees as props". Looking for this as a dependancy. Thanks for the quick response the first time. Any idea which of his I might want? Closest I think I can find is "Jeronij Prop Pack Vol04 - Trees"

Sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong place but... I'm looking for the "Trees as Props" mod, but the simtropolis links to it seem to be broken. Does anybody know where I can get this plugin?
