  1. SC4Mapper/SC4Ter Windows 7????

For those using Windows 7 (64-bit), here is how u do what Jason said and get moving the folder to work.... 1) Go to C:\ (for those who dont know how to get there, click on the start button at the bottom and the click on computer to the right, then double left click C:\) 2) Double left click the Users Folder 3) U should see an Owner Folder, U double left click that folder, & U should see the My Documents folder 4) This is where u right click the My Documents folder and select the properties button 5) When the box comes up U should see the tabs at the top and one of them should say Location....click on that tab 6) In the box, U will see the path for where the My Documents folder currently resides...to get the moving process started click the Move button in the middle 7) The box comes up asking u to specify the folder u want it moved to....type C:\ then click the select folder button The box disappeares and u are left with nothing in the path box except the C:\, this is where u type My Documents after the C:\ (there is no spacing between the \ & My....it shud look like so C:\My Documents) 9) Now click the Apply button, and click yes for every choice that comes up....If u get a thing that says the directory doesn't exist, do u wanna create it, click yes 10) Then all u gotta do is wait for everything to move and you're done 11) After everything moves, just go back into C:\ and U will see ur My Documents Folder P.S. - these directions are for Windows 7 64-bit users only as I am on that version, I have not done this on any other platform so if you are using another platform and follow these directions, you are doing so at your own risk.....
  2. help with map mod file

ok I officially need step by step instructions on how to get this to work with pics and what I shud be lookin for on each step startin from where to download sc4mapper to, cuz I tried every which way, taking sc4mapper and the usa map off each time and downloading it again just to be safe and I still cant get it to show right....it keeps on comin up as a big tile of grass seperated evenly with each block the size of a huge city....................if this is how difficult it is to work wit this, I can see why there are hardly any downloads...
  3. help with map mod file

I read the article, thanx for that but curious as to, do I put both the maps and SC4Mapper in my regions folder, or do I leave SC4Mapper in the plugins folder and jus put the maps all in regions?
  4. help with map mod file

never mind the help with finding the SC4Mapper, I jus found it, extracted, and installed it. Just to be on the safe side I deleted the extracted usa map folder I had, and extracted a new one.................still nothin...
  5. help with map mod file

yeah there's SC4M file...thanx 4 lettin me know, but I got SC4Terraformer cuz I cudn't find the SC4Mapper (cud I get sum help on finding that?), extarcted it and still I get nothin.....am I not doin sumthin? am I doin sumthin wrong?
  6. I was just wondering how do I install the map mod files? cuz I just downloaded the usa_map. problem is there is only a jpeg image and 2 white pages that request me to choose a program to open after I extracted...
  7. NAM: Requests

I have a request that may already be in the works but, can we get a TLA-7 piece, and if it could be modded for both roads, avenues, and elevated roads & avenues, that would be awesome!!! cuz having lived in tourist cities my whole life there are alot of these types of roads in use today in the big/ tourist cities, in fact most of the major roads are designed that way due to traffic if not all the major roads...
  8. speed limit curious

oh ok cool...thanks for clearin that up
  9. speed limit curious

In a youtube video that I recently saw, it described the speed limits on each type of road we used in our network from street to highways. the speed limits ended with the suffix kph, and I jus wanted to know, was kph supposed to be mph, cuz I calculated how fast kph was on each road type and realistically, the speed limits were no where near what they really are on each road type if they were indeed kph speed limits.
  10. 8/10 Lane Highways curving

actually my main complaint is with whoever puts a cap on the realism...if it is MAXIS/EA then so be it, but for the most part I think it's with NAM for not coming out with the real depth of networks that are really out there to begin with, cuz to put a limit on how many lanes u can curve, the degree at which u can have the curves (having the ability to have the curve at any degree), how big transition bridges are lane wise, how high u want the elevated highways to be, not having transitions that go from elevated to ground that u personally designate direction of how u want it to flow instead of only being able to only use already made ones are I think the biggest parts of highway networking. Yeah NAM did what they did these are things that I personally dont think should ever be left out....
  11. 8/10 Lane Highways curving

yeah um zig zagging to me is tacky no matter how u look at it cuz u know u zig zagged it even if u zoom out....and if they wish to say RHW makes networks look real then they should expand the game limits so they can do what is neccessary to make RHW truly "REAL". I dont know if it's just me but the game developers shouldn't release games like city builders without first exploring all that there truly is cuz without certain things being able to be done it gets REALLY frustrating making some people give up on the game all together
  12. I don't know if this is the right area to post this, but I was just curious if anyone knew how to make 8/10 (4 or 5 lanes on each side) lane highways curve off in different directions like realistic highways do, using it in both ground highway and elevated highway formations, and if it was possible to make transitional bridges have 2 lanes that could curve off into another highway network? I ask cuz realistically, 8/10 lane highways don't go straight the whole way or require downgrades in the number of lanes to make curves. And since I used to live in Los Angeles & San Diego, CA, I would like to make highway networks that have 8/10 lanes, & transitional bridges that can curve off consisting of 2 lanes.
