Thanks all for replying. What I do enjoy in SC4 are the huge regions, and getting into details like laying out my water piping. What I hate are the dependencies for the mods, and I was hoping that SC2013 would "fix" that (better graphics are nice but not that important to me) By the sound of it, the latest SC is not an improvement, but a different version of the game right now. I'm leaning towards sticking for SC4 for now then, unless as Xenocity says, a huge sale comes up. Thanks again!

Hi, A long time fan, albeit not a specialist, of SimCity 4, I'm now wondering with the offline mode if SimCity 2013 is worth buying. I didn't buy it when it came out because of the always on internet, but now that it's "fixed", I'm re considering. The biggest attraction I had with SimCity 4 was the countless mods I found here, and I know the latest one doesn't have much. But is that worth getting it? Do you believe it will now pick up speed in mod development? Most of the reviews I found focused on the always on internet connection, but what about gameplay? If you can share with me your opinion (only if you have the game, or played it!), or point me to a recent article or a decent review, would be much appreciated! Thanks
