Have you tried putting in police stations, fire stations, hospitals ? Education also affects so you need educated sims, make sure you have elementary schools and high schools as well as a city college or a university and all are funded to requirements, make sure that commute time between residential zones and commercial zones is minimized, you can do that by adding mass transit or placing the zones closer, which would be easier. These are the factors that usually affect the desirability. Also make sure you have enough sims that want jobs before zoning too much commercial which wont grow! Focus mainly on every single point as well as the points you mentioned, put the airport far from the city centre though, because of noise pollution. Goodluck!

I'm about to install NAM. How would I fix this if it happens ?

Whenever I try to start the Getting started tutorial, everything works out fine until I get to the part where you have to build an elementary school, and place it on the yellow region, it just wont be placed there for some reason, and I cant/dont know how to rotate it (if there is anyway to rotate buildings/zones when placing them please tell me about that too!) someone please help me Im using SC4 Deluxe edition, I've only installed the NAM and the extra cheats plugins but this problem was there since the first day I installed the game. My PC specs are Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit 2GB Ram Intel Core 2CPU 2GHZ Graphics Card nVidia GeForce 8500GT approx. total memory 1267MB
