Here is the first of two more maps rendered from NASA photos of Mars. Some really interesting effects considering the photos were taken on a planet with no liquid water. Photos courtesy of the Mars rovers. Maps are 1025 x 1025.

I was surfing the other night and came across some pictures of Mars. I downloaded them and then thought, what would thy render like on the Landscape Designer? The results are very interesting to say the least!

Stars Wars Fans, after six weeks and over two dozen maps (with several iterations each), here is Geonosis (or at least as close as I can come to it) from Episode Two, Attack Of The Clones. This one was a real pain to complete. I will wait for Episode Three to come out before trying again!

Ok Star Wars fans, here is the lake region of Naboo from Attack of the Clones, Episode Two. The location of the Naberrie family lake retreat is in the bottom row, slightly right of center. It didn't come out as well as I had hoped...I tried literally dozens of maps. Oh well, they can't all be gems. The map is 1150 x 1025. Next, the biggest challenge yet...Geonosis.

From Episode Six, the Forest Moon. The grave site of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, and venue of one of the greatest Rebel victories. If I had known that all the trees had to be put in by hand, I may not have started the project. I think I got carpel tunnel syndrome from holding the left mouse button for so long. Make sure your regional map is set to satellite view to see the trees (they don't show in transportation view). Next....Naboo.

The ice planet from Episode Five. Sorry the snow looks like olny a dusting, but it's the best that the Arctic Terrains modd can do.

Episode Four...home planet of Luke Skywalker and me. A rare spot on an otherwise arid planet. My first map, so be kind.
