Note: Regarding to the comments prior to this update. io_bg: Thanks. Nearly took a month for the third update, but here it is. Enjoy. Z5 Rendition. Note: Click the image below for the full image. Pixel dimensions of 800 x 2747 out of 896 x 3077 shown. Z6 Rendition (High-Definition). Note: Click the image below for the full image. Pixel dimensions of 800 x 2747 out of 1792 x 6154 shown. Ssup, yall here's the third update. The configuration of this project has been switched to a 6 x 6 instead of a 4 x 4 to accomodate the base of the structure. The base and the roof need a lot of work. The sides haven't been modeled yet so bear with me. The Z6 Rendition has been added alongside the Z5 to catch all the little details in the base area. What do you guys think about the new glass material? Are there any gleaming problems for the overall structure? Regards, Painkiller -
Dayum nice recreation of the city. I'm assuming that you BATed all those awesome models? Keep it up. Regards, Painkiller

The details of the arena are stunning. I absolutely like the symmetry with variations here and there. And, the skylon is coming along great and it's a vast improvement from your very first attempt. Keep up the great work. Regards, Painkiller Edit: Was albeit ambigious in my comment.

I must agree with gottago on the roof texture. It literally looks like ash and metal bits scattered about the roof as if you could leave footprints or sink right through it. And, another thing, I find those white horizontals under every window a bit distracting. Perhaps, you can tone the white down on those or consider changing the color to a darker variation of the brick color or near black to bring the verticals more into view. Great progress so far, though. Regards, Painkiller

Great models you got there. If your computer can handle it I would be delighted to see those glass panels on the MCG transparent while reflecting some sky and ground for added realism in your future updates. That also goes for the other stadium that you're working on if you haven't done so already. However, these are only my thoughts and I can see that your models aren't yet completed so perhaps you were already thinking about it. And, if I may, just simply texturing objects without modelling may work but modelling the actual object imo looks much better and having more details on particular models like these and most models are almost always preferred to the eye. You get more things to look at but overcrowding the model with too much details is another issue. Awesome nightlights on your other stadium, by the way. Regards, Painkiller

Tip: Click on the tabs to quick jump to a specific section. Made for the lazy. First Project: The Fitzroy Company First Quick Update. Replies. Note: Regarding to the comments prior to this update. @mben92: Thanks. Even though this is strictly one of my hobbies, seeing how architecture has progressed so much over the decades and centuries I couldn't help but mix some of the post-modern and deconstructivist styles with the old styles that you mentioned for something different and so far I believe it's coming along great. And, after summing up all the recent posts for this project I reevaluated the overall look of the building and had to admit that the roof seemed out of place and felt like it was just sitting on top of the building, disjointed, screaming for better unity. I'll take your comment into account and definitely add some sculptures and fountains here and there. @mightygoose: Haha, I appreciate it. Not that I'm trying to make something that you want to see but your comment did make me think for awhile. And, in turn, I came up with an entirely revamped roof. Take a look. @buildsolid: Thanks. Gardens and chairs are really lacking at the moment but I'll definitely add them in future updates. Your input was invaluable. @Aaron Graham: Much appreciated, thanks. @SimFox: Thanks for the input. I gotta tell you that comment made me think quite hard. I was wondering why you said that and I couldn't help but reevaluate the roof and in turn, revamp it. I believe it looks more grounded in this update but further scrutiny is always welcome. Moreover, that Z3 Render does look quite indecipherable now that I look at it. I'll post the Z5 Render in future updates. And, sorry that I posted PNGs I have a bad habit of using lossless quality images and I almost always forget to convert them to JPEGs for better bandwidth. Hopefully, I won't forget from this point on. Perspective Rendition. Note: Maximum pixel dimensions of 800 x 600 shown. Sorry, folks, my progress in this project has significantly slowed because of school but I'll see to it that this project gets done. Other than that, here's a quick update. I completely revamped the top to better suit the overall style and design of this building. Enjoy. Regards, Painkiller -

Note: Regarding to the comments prior to this update. @Gn_leugim: Haha, thanks. @Simfox: Without that statement I probably would have overlooked the fact that the glasses and the frames were overlapping eachother. I'm glad that you caught that. I still haven't truly fixed the problem yet but for a quick fix I made the frames a little thicker. And, yes, I knew that the lattices weren't supposed to be the way they were but I have to admit that I got a little overwhelmed at first trying to figure out the exact degree it's supposed to face. And, out of respect, I dare not ask but I must say that your TruNite/DarkNite works are truly astonishing and I was wondering if you could consider helping me with the nightlighting for this BAT? @GlobexCo: Sure thing. The Z3 Render is posted in this update. Enjoy. @mightygoose: I posted the brown stone version in this update and I think it looks more visually pleasing, thanks. As for the structure itself, my inspiration did come from gothic structures and so naturally those "undefined" wings were supposed to become flying buttresses with a more curved and upright configuration in this update. Perspective Rendition. Note: Maximum pixel dimensions of 800 x 600 shown. Z3 Rendition. Note: Maximum pixel dimensions of 800 x 600 shown. Ssup, yall. Here's the second update. Not sure what to place in the middle anymore but ideas are always welcome. I tried placing a hollowed out pyramid with glass panels but the structure as a whole didn't look right. Perhaps, I'll save that for something else. Regards, Painkiller -

Note: Regarding to the comments prior to this update. @Larks2242: Thanks, much appreciated. @buildsolid: Yeap, hopefully I can get started on my other projects soon. They just need some adjustments here and there. @SimFox: I did have a hunch that the gamma was off. I'm glad that you pointed that out. This project is in its infancy but yes, I admit that the lattices and other objects that you haven't yet mentioned are poorly made. I did some readjustments, have a look at the update. And, as simple as you may make it sound, I do use snaps; however, in some cases precise x, y, and z calculations have to come into place. Maybe that's just me and perhaps there is a better way to handle such situations but I'm still learning and I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on what you mean by "common sense." Nonetheless, your input is invaluable. @mightygoose: It's still in its infancy but thanks. To be exact, the structure is 4x4; however, I'm open for a 5x5 configuration. The structure will be a little less than 400m. And, almost nearing a window count of 8000 and more as this project progresses, I'm starting to wonder how long it would actually take me to work on and perfect the nightlighting. It surely does sound like a pain in the @$$. I could use a lot of help from the community, then or even now. Perspective Rendition. Note: Maximum pixel dimensions of 800 x 1200 shown. Here's an update for yall. Regards, Painkiller -

I can admit that updates have been stagnant for the past two months; however, rest assured that this thread is not dead. I'll be getting into 3d modeling soon enough. Regards, Painkiller
