  1. Is island nations better?

I have been playing sc4, for some time and ought to realize new things. Of course you might realize some differences right? The benifits, there are many, the turndowns there are few. Islands look better of course, and provide lots of recreantional activites. I can use the ocean surrounding it to fuel the water pumps (as read in last post) and water towers. If you have some land at the end of the city tile, you may use a causeway,or make a isthmus. Many advantages are economical growth. If you have high demands of industry, it will grow as a regular city. Islands don't always grow too big, but if you work at it i think you will see a difference.
  2. Power resources

You know how you are always tired of the advisors talking about the failure of powerplants?I made a way that is realistic. I placed a road that was 30x30 tiles long. On it I placed 4 solar power plants, you can use what you can afford. There I put power lines on each plant. This way it looks real.I made the power lines go to the neighbor city and some to the main city. Another way to make a good power source is the way of placing the was waste to energy plant on the other side of the road. It is actually quite simple. Place it AWAY from the city and it will produce a lot of power and more enviormentally friendly. It actually is very realistic lokking.
  3. 1. Burj Dubai 2. Tapei Towers 3. China Tower 4. World Trade Center These buildings were vafored to be the best builings ever. It is still optional requests from friends. Tell me your faviorate tall building. My faviorate is the Burj Dubai. It spans straight up about 2,000 feet! You can see it from 60 miles away! I think it is scary to go on the outside elevator during construction and finished. The finished building is also used as apartments, armani hotels, and business offices! Has lots of resort water pools and artificial lakes! Tell me your best building!
  4. Hi folks, I have recently seen that the garbadge in SC4 cities is filthy. When I use large tile cities, i make a cross like highway section. It is very large, and makes travel very fast. In the center of the highway in your big city, instead of using a cloverleaf exchange yo group and connect the highways I would make a large avenue in the shape of a square to connect them. When I put landfills in I usuallymake it in the center of the avenue that connects the highways. Why? you may ask. It is because the waste cannot get through the areas. I have also placed some powerplants there. It is very effective if you use power lines to sell power to neighboring towns. You may think that I am crazy but.....I placed a waste to energy plant in the avenue too. It makes garbadge go down a lot. How does it work? Well i placed all dirty stuff in the center, then I put the army base, toxic waste center, missile launch center, and area 5.1. Theese things are all contained in one area. The best thing about the city is that it will be very clean. Place large parks and recreation facilities near the center to increase desirebility. You have to notice the fact of placing large lakes around the intersection. You can add water pumps there too. All of theese tips will help keep your nice city clean and cool looking. All the best, your freind IgotThaMunchiez
  5. Need more water?

    Heh thanks guys
  6. Need more water?

Hi there! I have learned thatn you can make a lake, any size lake near a water PUMP. Not a water tower, and use the lake for water out put. It works this way because in SC4 you can make the lake close to your pump. This means that it allows your aquifer to go down deeper and hit the lake too. To see if this works I have made one area of my city with no lake and one with a small one. Then i made a water pump next to it and saw that the on that has the lake lasts longer and gives out about 2 tiles more! This can save lots of money for you and me. Try this out some time, it worked for me! Your friendly assistance guide: Igotthamunchiez
