Welcome all,
Not played Simcity 4 for a long time, but thought I would get back into and start a new project having seen the Bournemouth one.
I have created the map using a screen grab of Google maps and then rendering it to greyscale in Paintshop. I am really happy with the results but it is a massive map.
I announce the birth of:
Devon is in the South West of the UK and is a very large county. I have decided that my focus will be the South and East of Devon as this is where I live and has great coastline and a number of large towns and a city.
Here is a screenshot of one part of the map showing the East facing coast - looks quite accurate! There are many tourist towns here along with a railway running from Exeter to right along the coast.
While I won't be creating every street by the books I will be following the general layout of the main trunk roads and the key features of the towns. I will be focusing on the Exe Estuary first.
