  1. Does the game lag for everyone?

Yeah, it will start to slow down after 4 hours of play for me. Restarting the game solves it but not as well as restarting PC, as it slows down after 2 hours instead. Although, I recently got a 9800gt to replace the 8600gt I had - the difference was impressive graphically as everything runs smoother but I got an extra hour of playtime because of it!
  2. Roads - would this be possible or useful?

So it could be just the animation rather than what is actually going on? If thats the case then its no big deal. Although having these junctions/intersections still creates the heavy traffic so do you think that in future a small upgrade to an existing road can make it a major/continuous road? With less junctions as such it could give a little boost to traffic. The way you can upgrade roads now to one-way only or 3+2 lanes is brillant, just a few more added options for various situations and layouts would be great. Would like such options with expressways too. Feeder roads I use but I find sometimes there can be mixed results.
  3. Hi all, First of all, I like CXL for the most part and hopefully MC will fix bugs and add alot more to it sooner rather than later. Also the forums here are great for the tips! Question to everyone about roads. Now I only play single player, so if I had buses to use maybe it would be a different story, but i've been looking at my roads overlay on a few cities and surprised at how fast it takes for them to get choked. I look at how i've laid them out, what type of building are along them, how far residents need to travel to work, etc, but I find it stupid at how easily they get jammed. Then it got me thinking, what if roads could get upgrade buttons to change them into 'major' and 'minor' roads? All roads in CXL have 'proper junctions' - ALL traffic on each road has to take turns to let other traffic continue. Which is functional, but to me (because I live in the UK, i've no idea how it works in other countries, sorry!) traffic on larger roads should be driving on continuously, while traffic on smaller roads wait for a gap on the larger road before moving out - traffic on 'minor' roads give way to traffic on 'major' roads. Upgrades to allow the player to decide where its needed in a city would be useful I reckon. To me it appears that the design of the normal blocks of buildings with the automatic small roads around them create too many junctions along a piece of road, causing the heavy traffic. Maybe I got that wrong? Even proper roundabouts would ease this problem, but we dont have those!
