    Hey Mudder! Thanks for the info/translation. Anywho... I have been thinking about translating those posts from Okeanos on CitiesXS... but then I realized I wouldn't know how to explain the mechanics exactly if/when people asked for it. I was hoping there would be other geniusses... genii... ...smarter people then me who could do that. off-topic: strange how such a fundamental issue has been overlooked by MC. And from what I got from the original post by Okeanos, the fix isn't that complicated.
  2. Hey "Kaaskoppen"!!! Last friday I asked MC about the missing payment option for Dutch subscribers, "iDeal". Today (monday) I got a reply with an explanation. This option is invisble with the "Recurrent Payment" mark checked. So uncheck it and it should appear.

    My guess is that they will release the first content patch before the first month after release is over. This to make people who did subscribe "happy"...
  4. Very very choppy game play

    Is it choppy from the get go or does it get choppy when there are more and more people in your cities? I don't think it is graphics related but a purely CPU related issue. CXL runs on just one core.
  5. Business hotels: Keep going bust !

    You need to build them ON, not NEAR to, busy roads. Hotels need traffic. One thing I also noticed is that you don't need luxury hotels untill you have Executives. Hi-tech for Elites etc. It doesn't matter how close they are to Offices, only Traffic matters.
  6. Cities XL is NOT an MMO

    That delay could be because they are still sorting payment methods. In the Netherlands they have a payment option called "iDeal" but I can't use it yet (It is listed as "not availlable yet" . They have to have contracts with the "iDeal" organisation first. The same goes for Austrian players. They have a payment option only for them. Does Italy have some sort of auto-debet banking system?? If so, they could need time to set it up and be the cause of the delay. I can't subscribe yet because I live in The Netherlands and don't have a CC. The game isn't out here, I bought it via Steam.
  7. Those crafty Germans again... Complicated to build though and very...very expensive. Special tools to create something like that the easy way are still on my wishlist. Thank you very much for that link by the way. There is a lot of info, atleast for me, to read.

  9. Those are some very good points. My suggestions: -Dedicated forums (Tiresome to answer the same questions from other users over and over. Technical support forums) -Multi-core support (The requirments point out that CXL should have multi-core support) -Terrain editing tools that make sense. You can't make water or new land. (I'm Dutch, we made our country etc. etc...) Sunken roads (See the image in my next point) -Overpasses. You need to make huge bridges (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millau_Viaduct) to make your own overpass. This is what I was looking for. -Roundabouts made easy (Set centre of the roundabout, move the mouse away from the centre. Presto, perfect roundabout) More laters...
