This may seem stupid but I had the same exact problem; When you are at the login screen; make sure you select a language (option is right under your user name) Mine was blank and I got '&' in front of every word, when I tried to build anything I crashed. After I selected 'English' I could play the game (and never crashed after that). Hope it works for you guys as well!

I can't believe it but there might be a very simple solution for you; If you have the '&' in front of words problems and the CTD whenever you use the build option, try this; When you launch the game make sure you select your language option (right under your login name). My language option was not selected and was the cause of my problems. After I checked 'English' I had no more '&' in front of words and no more CTD I can finally start playing! Hope this works for you all

Having the exact same problem; Game (v1.0.3.367) crashes whenever I try to use any (not just roads) build option Every word in the game starts with a '&' The tutorial seems to be missing (only getting a text like '&Tutorial_01_') I have the Limeted Edition I downloaded from Steam I updated all my drivers and reinstalled the game 3x My system; Vista 32 Q9550 (stock speeds) GTX280 (stock speeds) 4gb I used the support option on their website and they replied withing 3 hours asking for more info, if they have a fix I will let you know (you might want to use the support option as well, they might want to fix it faster )
