I'm likewise getting connection failed problems. I did get a message saying 'Servers down for maintennance' on the app splash screen, but only sporadically. Can't believe you can't even play the single game without downloading the update, that's just poor. I had a bad experience with City Life 2008, which I purchased but was never able to get working - Monte Cristo support couldn't help. Already beginning to regret buying this when they take their servers down on release day
