That's not that bad of a clunker bro. I have a high-end system and SC4 still lags the same like you. So having a higher end system will not help.

Uh... I have a GeForce GTX 260 and it performs horribly.

That plane drives me bonkers so I bulldoze it after I use it and replace it. It costs me a butt load of money but in the end, it's worth it. This is why i no longer use deluxe police stations or fire fields because they are annoying!

Wow, now that I see it, 99 percent of all my residents leave the city for work. Just a few stay. How do I fix this? Do I terminate all connections?

That works for what I want! Too bad the enterances and exits are so big.

Basically,i want to create an advanced entire underground highway without having to worry about digging holes and messing up buildings and such. I want to plop enterances and exits, drag/dlop the underground highway anywhere with curves and such and create one-way offramps and onramps. Where can I find such a tool?

I wonder if SC4 just has a flaw in itself that causes bad performance. All these things that we have to do to try to make the game bearable to play is getting a bit ridiculous. :-\

According to my graphs I have the smartest sims that ever walked my sim region at 200+ intelligence (average sim) but I'm looking at the graphs and they are getting paid the least. At the highest point, my sims were making an income of 50k but now are making less than 10k and dropping. Why? This has me baffled and this has almost become the perfect city.

I basically want to remove the left over radiation from my advanced research center and the medical buildings. I've removed the buildings, but the radiation is still there after many years and won't go away. I'm not smart enough to create a mod.

I'm aiming for the perfect city, so I need it removed. I've almost got perfect land value and that's the only thing remaining.

Be civil, that was out of line, and uncalled for] Anyway, moving on, I found out 2 things regarding SC4 performance and it's worked for me. It hasn't COMPLETELY removed all the lag but it DOES do one heck of a good job: 1) Set the game to software, not hardware rendering (No idea why it works better this way) 2) Turn off (switch to low) shadows. These 2 things helped a bunch, but no idea why. Hope this helps.
