  1. Getting the Ball Rolling

I like the way your suburbs are developing! It's extremly realistic and quite cool also!
  2. Jeffory

Hey there! It's been a long time since I commented. I've read all your updates the day they came out, but I didn't have the time to comment... Anyway, it's not that your updates weren't good enough: they were very great! And this one is not an exception! I wonder what's all the story behind the strange situation! You've definitely succeeded to turn a simulation game into a suspense story!
  3. Tavlon, The Recovery

Congratulations for your 10,700 views! Your view count just keeps exploding and you deserve it because you're CJ unbeatable. My vote goes to option E. It's the most efficient way to have a prosperous economy in your city. Of course, you also have to find a way to get rid of the garbage, maybe a local disposal center. I strongly disapprove 1999mnfr's idea. The goal of this CJ is to show the development of a realistic region. A money tree is way too far from reality to consider putting it in BrookStone.
  4. Suburbs - Morawee (Central & East), Carrolla, Tingalwra

Nice city journal, dude, keep the good work up! This CJ helps me to build my opinion on CXL. Before it was launched I was strongly opposed. But now after about a week, I'm like: ok it's just a nice game, dude. I'm probably going to buy it in some years... It will be cheaper, the bugs will have been fixed, single-player will be improved... Well even if I wanted to but it now, my computer is not powerful enough. But it sure can handle SC4, which is awesome.
  5. Quentin & Gertmond

I felt warm when I read this update. I guess it's because I'm proud to see that even with CXL launched, at least one SC4 CJ is still awesome! But it's also because this update was full of win. On the voting, I'll have to say B. But I'd like to mention that it shouldn't be large development. Maybe some light suburban sprawl with a couple of parks to make it nicer.
  6. cities xl way too easy?

Regional play and custom content are the reason I still play SC4 after 6 years. Both are missing on CXL. And seriously how the hell is a city supposed to survive without mass transportation? Monte Cristo simply consider games as a successful way to make money. That's why i boycott Cities XL and wait for a real city-builder.
  7. Regional Maps, oh boy!

I love maps like that! They sure must be long to make, but they're oh so sweet! They make a close-to-reality region feel even more realistic! I'm starting to wonder if Brookstone is really a fictional region  ;)
  8. Trenton Trams

Oops I forgot to vote, and it's my duty to do it, so here I am. A will look very out of space in your city. C just won't fit in Trenton. You don't need D to serve your town. B is the perfect one: realistic, nice and efficient. That's my vote.
  9. Trenton Trams

That's one hell of a useful update dude! Thanks for all the tricks and all the amazing stuff! Simple and efficient tutorial with all the best custom content. You can be sure that I'll drop by later :)
  10. Lexington Bay- Towers and Houses

The best CJ is getting even better with every update! I really like where your region is going :) Mars250 has made a great suggestion here: I'd be the first to download it! It would be nice to build a region on the BrookStone map, because you CJ is an inspiration for my playing style. I was getting bored building soul-less metropolises and and then I read your city journal. I'm now aiming for realism, not for high population count. Oh and for the proposition, I vote C. Every big city has poverty problems, but Lexington Bay deserves a nice town center!!!
  11. Blog interview.

I don't understand the point of a multiplayer mode for a city-building game. That's what's appealing to the genre: play at your own rythm with your own rules. Multiplayer mode means gigher prices and higher bandwidth allocation. It also means no cheats, no custom content and no fun. And what about the single player mode? No mass transit? That's absurd! No possibility to interconnect multiple cities? That was done is 2003! SC4EVER! [Edited lanugage and excessive punctuation]
  12. Karling

Great success! This update is very nice, dude! Even without the voting thing, you amazed me with the Karling story and the transportation network. I would also like to see the whole region!
  13. Large Luxus Clinic

This is an awesome building! It is what was missing in the default healthcare system. It now has a great place in most of my cities :) BRAVO!
  14. Entry 2: The Countryside

Even with only 3 updates and 250 views, it seems this CJ is going to have a bright future. What I like is the fact that you're quite a ''purist'' with the game. You didn't install a thousand useless plugins: it looks like the nice old SimCity 4!
  15. Valencia - Now 10% more Rural!

This update is awesome! I'm happy to see that your CJ always gets better, as opposed to most CJs that just fade away. Now, I'll make a small analysis of the situation before casting my vote... This area is located extremly close to the town center, so I think it would be a waste to turn it into a farm or park. A rural town sure doesn't need a commercial district, keep this for cities where population is exploding. So I'll vote just like Mars250: make it a central residential zone. That's two for C. I can't wait for the next update ;)
  16. Spokane

As I told you in your previous entry, I will vote on every future decision. By the way, I really like the concept of letting readers vote on different aspect of your region's growth.! You added realism and good scenario to your city journal, and with that you add democracy! Here's what I think the city council should decide: YES! Accept the proposition from Kandex Oil. It will boost your economy and industry (something you really want for a small town). You will get enough money from it to minimize its impact on the surroundings. It's much more realistic than developing clean energy, since Spokane is an industrial town.
  17. Calgary, Heart of BrookStone

I just discovered this journal and I decided to register on SimTropolis only because I wanted to vote on your future entries! I say option C. You can count on me to vote on your next entries!
