  1. Is the demo really as bad as I think it is?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Well, there's no way I'm coughing up the cash now! Such a crushing disappointment to want something for ages, then bham... this. Haven't been this disappointed since Spore. :/
  2. Are you ready to dump SC4, and move on to CXL?

SC4 I have, with no further cash outlay, so that would win for me. However, I'm way more excited about Tropico 3. Tropico is possibly my favourite building game, so can't wait.
  3. Eugh. I have been eager to play Cities XL for a long time and have played and loved many Monte Cristo games over the years (even their last attempt an MMO, StarPeace). But to say I'm underwhelmed by the demo is an understatement. I laid a few residental areas, and a few industry/office areas, and then I reached 22,000 people and now it won't let me play anymore. THAT'S IT? I think for 1GB download, I had about 20 minutes gameplay. I know I can delete it and start again according to their site, but so I can do that same few basic actions again? No thanks. It also goes against the very nature of city building. This demo, unless I am missing something drastic (and please tell me if I am) gives no indication at all of the gameplay, or what challenge there is. To fork out probably around £30 for the without even paying for the online elements... well, I'm not going to do it now. I'm bemused how a demo can be so big, yet offer so little. Antony
