  1. I am working on a new region that has about 100,000 sims in it total. Recently I have been getting jobless zots over a lot of stuff in my large city with 95,000 sims. They are almost always on the high wealth stuff, sometimes on middle wealth stuff. There are very few low wealth sims in this city. It's almost as if the computer has reversed the high and low wealth sims because it seems to only build new high wealth apartments that are almost immediately abandoned due to long commute time. According to the jobs & pop. graph there are mostly middle class sims and then far below that are the high wealth sims and then the low wealth sims. This is not normal. I have tried using the simulation z, simulation a, and standard forms of the nam traffic controller and none have done much to stop the jobless zots. The strange thing is that I do not lose population, the buildings just dilapidate into a lower wealth and then eventually come back for a very short time and then go back down so there are always new jobless zots throughout the city, but also dilapidated buildings. In the much smaller neighboring cities I have the same problems. I have a picture of a commute for one house that the game says is a long commute.
  2. Long Commute that is actually very short!

I've finally gotten it under control I think. I've taxed the R$$$ out of all the other cities and now that the whole region has grown more and stabilized and I made one city just for R$ it's starting to get under control, and I reverted back to the simulator z which seems to help a lot. Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions!
  3. Long Commute that is actually very short!

Yeah thanks a lot Yunxlang! I will look for that mod, and I will also try taking out some plugins because the commute problems did seem to start after I moved my plugins over from my old computer to my new one. Cobhris96, I will try simulator Z again later, but I actually already tried that simulator, simulator A, and standard so I'm not exactly sure if that will help. Thanks again for all the advice from everyone!
  4. Long Commute that is actually very short!

It's not occasional. They're in nearly every district of the city, and they are constantly appearing. It's definitely some kind of bug or wrongly installed plugin that is causing the commute times to be messed up because I just downloaded a brand new region and the game is telling me these sims have medium length commutes when they are just as short as the one in the picture above. Has anyone had any experience with this bizarre thing before?
  5. Long Commute that is actually very short!

Thanks for the suggestions, but that road has no more than 100 or 200 commuters traveling on it at a time, which is far below it's capacity of 1000. It seems more like a bug but I don't know how to fix it. has anyone else experienced similar problems?

  7. Liberty County: Two cities, one metro area

I vote for Mission City as the county seat. Great job so far though!
  8. Slow performance of non-Deluxe in Tiger?

I just want you guys to know that with my NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX video card which came with my imac the game has been virtually unplayable since 10.4.3 came out. This is EXTREMELY frustrating to me since I have payed 80 dollars for simcity and rush hour and for more than a year now I have hardly been able to play it. I feel as if aspyr has abandoned me. However I would like to know if anyone else with a similar video card (since the problem seems to come from there) has had similar problems and more importantly has anyone with this same problem bought the deluxe version of the game and experienced an improvement? Thanks a lot!
  9. St Marque Inlet - Alicante City - Darnassus

Wow! I just read this entire cj and it's really spectacular! I love your use of custom made buildings! Keep this up! I really like your road/avenue lay out with all the diagonal intersections etc. -uncrazycooper
  10. Plugin Pack 225913368

Hello. In one of my cities on my L.A. Region whenever I open it I get this message. Warning:The city you are loading refers to the following plugin packs which aren't available on your machine. You can continue the game in the absence of those packs, but, some graphics and other information may be incorrect Plugin Pack 225913368 is listed in a box at the bottom of the message So far there is only one city that I get this message in and I haven't seen any messed up graphics due to this missing plugin pack I'm on a macintosh computer with rush hour etc. Has anyone else had this problem before?? If someone has an idea of what is wrong I would be very grateful to you! -uncrazycooper
  11. slow performance after 10.4.3

Well I'm glad that you had two hard disks and that worked out for you! However, I don't have to hard disks and my game is still unplayable and I would like to have a solution or atleast some concrete of advice that would help. It's quite frustrating to me because I feel like I'm the only one with this problem and aspyr has not fixed it and it's quite a problem so if someone could please give me some advice it would be very much appreciated! Thanks, uncrazycooper13
  12. slow performance after 10.4.3

ok I'm sorry to double post but I really need an answer about this stuff. My game is completely unplayable right now and has been for weeks. Is there a way to uninstall a mac os x update? If not what else could I do to improve the performance of the game until they figure this out??? Thanks! uncrazycooper
  13. slow performance after 10.4.3

yeah I'd like to know about that too. as I said before 10.4.4 doesn't seem to help us folk with an nVidia thing at all. -uncrazycooper
  14. slow performance after 10.4.3

I just downloaded 10.4.4 and it doesn't seem to have changed anything. My sim city with 10.4.4/10.4.3 doesn't go fast at all and is virtually unplayable. I'm on a Power Mac6,1/Power PC G4 and I have a nVIDIA GeForce4 MX. I'd love to know anything that I could do that would help even the slightest bit but I don't know much of the computer lingo so I don't know if the information I gave you will help much but I hope it does! Thanks! -uncrazycooper
  15. Eureka! --- Planning For The Future

Wow louisville excellent update! Even though Hiro is the obvious choice you make Wendgram look like a semi-viable candidate! Excellent job! -uncrazycooper13
  16. Eureka! --- Planning For The Future

This cj gets better all the time! I hope Hiro wins, I'd hate for Eureka to lose it's charm justs because of some old rich people. However it would be kind of cool if you let the sprawl develop and then you could go back in with a new mayor and show how to fix sprawl. Anyway I can't wait to see more! -uncrazycooper13
  17. Eureka! --- Planning For The Future

looks awesome! Eastport is really neat! I love the names for the ships and love the townhouses on the beach! By the way when will we get to see this massive population boom occur? -uncrazycooper
  18. Eureka! --- Planning For The Future

thats pretty darn nice! Although the single family housing looks a little bit more spread out but I don't know why that is. Its probably because all I've been using lately is rowhomes but that fountain in the park is amazing and the mayors mansion is really nice! I can't wait to see the surrounding districts and the nearing population boom! -uncrazycooper
  19. Eureka! --- Planning For The Future

Wow this looks AWESOME!!! I can't wait to see how this develops! Its gonna be sweet! I'm so glad you're back Louisville! -uncrazycooper
  20. 2 New York Plaza

does this have jobs? or is it just a landmark??
  21. Best Skyline?

I just love the skyline and in fact the whole feel of Baltimore. It does'nt get as much credit as it should since it is sandwiched between DC and Philadelphia but it is really a great looking city. If you go over one of the bridges leading into downtown you can see all the perfect rows of rowhouses and its just an amazing thing to see. And there is one really really nice building that I just love its this older looking building with a golden top I just think its beautiful. I can't upload pictures right now but its definitely my favorite so far. By the way that picture of Chicago with all the buildings sticking out of the clouds was just amazing!!! -uncrazycooper
  22. Liberty City: The L.C.

oh this sounds cool a mix of NYC and the OC sweet
  23. Simtropia

Wow this cj is absolutely amazing jeronij! I completely missed it until now! Right now I'm working on my version of Baltimore Md. and this has shown me alot of techniques to use and a lot of lots to download and its just an amazing cj! I can't wait for more!!! By the way I just read through the whole thing and saw your masterplanning stuff and I thought that maybe towards the top of the river in ruralia you could put a small to medium city. I think it would look pretty realistic to have a river port city for all those farms to send their products down stream and such. Anyway this cj is awesome and I can't wait to see more! -uncrazycooper
  24. Rebuilding New Orleans

I think the most important thing to think about is 1. No matter what this will be expensive. But the main challenge for New Orleans is how to preserve the history and soul of new orleans and make the city safe and rebuild the marshes/wetlands because that will keep the city safer and be good for the environment. No matter what not rebuilding/relocating the city is NOT an option. -uncrazycooper
  25. New Brunswick------ Metropolitan

lookin cool but why in that last picture do you have that tunnel going no where??? lol? Keep up the great work. Oh yeah I also think you need to add some different tilesets to keep your city from getting too repetitive. -uncrazycooper
