There is a key reason why I will not and cannot buy Simcity on Origin... - Many people are still hit with the "Payment authorization failure" which prevents one from buying anything on Origin, and apparently EA still has not resolved its problem with Digital River after so long even after contacting executives at the company and support. Even if I want to buy the game, I cannot because the purchase will not go through, even if the cost is zero during the promotion periods. - EA burnt me with the Battlefield 3 experience, lying quite a lot with that game. In fact, what I saw from the beta is exactly the same as what is in the final game release. I shall expect similarly from Simcity.
