Hey Darmok! It's been a while Had a rough weekend... Holland being kicked out of the World Championships and all ... Anyway... about my sig.. before I edited it with your suggestions it only said "Yeppa yeppa", although I really liked Speedy Gonzalez, it wasn't refering to him... I'm guessing you'r not Dutch, so you'd probably don't know the band BZN, but Yeppa Yeppa is one of my favourite songs! Just download it, it's fun! ( BZN - Yeppa < the lyrics so you can sing along, it's french! ... ...no actually the music is terrible but it's just a fun song when you're getting dr*nk with some friends ... I've said it before and I'll just say it again... great CJ! I allready commented your last update.. but one more time: it was great! Take Care! JoeMeister

I wish you could download entire cities... but if you take a look at the amount of MB's one city is... just imagine how big an entire region is! Holy $%^#^%# the servers of Simtropolis would be filled up in no-time! Just keep on playing the game.. you will learn a lot playing. And also check out the awesome work many of the simtropolis members have done in their CJ's .. many of the CJ's are great inspirations for other members' cities! Have fun playing Simcity and good luck!

Congratulations to Anubis89 and Dedgren for their citizenships! Great update Darmok! The houses in pic 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 look real cool.. don't think I ever saw them on the STEX... maybe I did... I don't know ... but I do know I have not downloaded them yet.. think I'm going to start a search! Anyway.. I'll say it again... great update! BTW: are those old ladies chain-smokers? That amount of smoke.. man it's a miracle they ever got old...

11 MB took quite a while to download but it's worth it! Beautiful collage of great pics! Have been watching them for over 15 minutes... Great work!

Yeah.. how more residents the better. It's very important you don't start building schools, healthcare, firedep, policedep, etc, etc. right away. In the beginning you only need the basics. Power (prefferably a windmill for a really small town), water and transportation (don't lay down to many roads, they cost a lot more than streets). Maybe you should check this CJ: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=36&threadid=78168&highlight_key=y&keyword1=fair Gadfly is creating a town with a starting budget of only $ 1000 !!!

Corrino Region: The Adventures of DaVinci Brown
JoeMeister replied to Vigilante1987's topic in SC4 City Journals
Great region and beautifull cities! Those ghosts are just a gimmick put in by Maxis, since october is the month of halloween! There are more of these 'easter eggs' you need to look around your city very good to find them all... I actually believe there is a thread on this subject somewhere on the simtropolis forums... -
Pixelrage is right... an average PC already has a lot of difficulties when you have the biggest city tile stacked with buildings and stuff! So imagine an entire region as one city... you probably need 100 Terrabyte of RAM and a 900.000 GHZ Processor to keep it running... ... and that would be the minimum specs... HOWEVER: You can edit or create a Config.bmp into 4x4 pixels filled with dark blue. This way your region will be just ONE city Tile, the biggest one...

Well Darmok, since your CJ is so awesome, and your last update looks so good... I changed my sig to your wishes... for now... when your CJ is getting bad I will change it back !!
-
I Like the governement area... it looks quite parisian! The highway walls everybody talks about.. I don't really like them... I could never make them fit in ... they do look quite nice in your city though

Europe vs America vs Asia vs Oceania
JoeMeister replied to jere90's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
There is no place like home..... I live on the dutch countryside in 'the green heart' .... it's green, it's flat, there are windmills, it smells like cows, criminality is very very low, traffic is ok (as long as you stay away from Rotterdam, Gouda or Utrecht), my neighbours are very friendly, the chicks are hot (did I just say that out loud?), perfect place to ride your bycicle or steer your motorbike over the curvy dykes, there is water in abundance, there is no smog, no fog of war (?), hardly any noise at night, tourists are funny, nature is great, I can't think of a reason to leave ... and no reason at all to leave Europe.... except vacations of course! -
Even dirty industry looks great! Thats real simcity skill! Lamost at page 100! Woot... that's awesome! Keep up the great work!
-
