  1. Anduin Valley Revisited

Tut, tut, tut John...The Yuppies are in town and yet I see no STARBUCKS...I would have thought that was a planning requirement to build any type of building designed for the over priced crap coffee drinker!!!! Been lurking around for ages and RL took me away for a while but I do try and pop in to see how things are going. Keep up your superb work. It is an inspiration, If I had the dedication that you and some others have to CJing you no doubt would find that a lot of your work has been copied!! But I haven't got the talent to do what you do to be any threat to your accomplishments (I hope you take this as a complement and not as anything sinister). I also need a more powerful PC designed for gaming...SC4 if so slow on my PC it's actually tear inducing, but hopefully all will change after Christmas. *Back to Lurkers World I go*
  2. Three Rivers Region

CONGRATULATIONS MR EDGREN You deserve the award for your truly ambitious work. Well done and I wish you all the best with your on going projects. Looking forward to seeing your fantastic region develop. *EXIT RIGHT: TO LURKERS WORLD*
  3. Anduin Valley Revisited

  4. Three Rivers Region

Blimey! I didn't expect that to happen...I am humbled by your kind gesture, sir. Well I hope that those visiting Low Light hills will gain the benefits of it's almost spiritual mound status...the Gift of being a smart arse who points out possible Inaccuracies and gets rewarded for Them... < A.K.A: a GIT I won't be changed by this new found fame...(PM me for an official autograph!) I shall return to my lowly lurker status and return, like the Gods of old, to stir trouble and instigate mischief ( I hope you all noticed how my ego shot up in the space of 3 paragraphs, from humble servant to ancient God ! EGO: It'll be the end of us all). Your achievements are so impressive that they are wangling the creepiest of crawlies from this forums every nook and cranny! Which is indeed a great testament to your hard work and expert skill. All the best with the trials of RL and the RL Trial; and Good luck with 3RR: The L.L.H. Saga Back to the Lurker world I go... Fly my pretties aha ha ha ha ha haaaaaa...
  5. Three Rivers Region

First Post here Mr Edgren I'm very, very impressed by your dedication and what seems to be a limitless amount of energy. The map is outstanding and I must congratulate you on your achievements to date. Q: I would like to know why you chose to have two TOWER HILLS on the map, is there a reason or is it a mistake? I shall continue to lurk and keep an eye on your handiwork. All the best with 3RR and all your sub-projects
  6. Simtropia

HAven't posted in a long long time, only just getting back to doing it. JeroniJ your work is still Fantastic! This mod is superb. I have one question: Is the type of car parked on the side of the road effected by the wealth of the neighbourhood? Looking forward to more extravagant pic's. LOW LIGHT
  7. Digby - East Coast Region

I am so shocked that your back Paul. I, being a big time lurker, haven't posted in ages and it take a single post from yours truly to get me back on here! Welcome back, I hope the encouragement of the community and the sheer admiration for your quality work will help persuade you that Digby deserves your time and fancy skills . At present I am happy to have you back among "the living" -NARDO69. Am looking forward to reading your posts and seeing Digby emerge from the ashes, pheonix style. Send out the heralds and let them proclaim "Hear ye good citizens of Simtropolis - the King has returned" WELCOME BACK [Cue: Eminem - Without me ''Guess who's back, Back again, Paulie's back, Tell a friend...']
  8. Sculpting Columbia River

Hey Jeroni, Remeber me...I went AWOL (Absent Without Official Leave) for a while. All I can say is that RLS was involved . I am so glad that I have come back to this forum. It has been a long time since I commented on your truely stunning work. I have been popping in and out of your CJ and the other amazing CJ's that have sprung up out of nowhere, but only rarely without commenting. I must say that I am glad you are updating so regularly, and that you are really commited to this CJ. It has been a joy to look at and follow. Your quality of work has come leaps and bounds and it is looking amazing. I remember the humble beginings of CR with that most striking of transport infrastructure layouts...and now...*BANG* full on region wide development! I have been really impressed with your attention to detail and your amazing skills with the whole SC4 package. Your cutom lots and walls are amazing and I have seen it being used in many new CJ's and finding their way into some old and established ones too, giving them a little more realism. You've made a name for yourself at Simtropolis and I guess the Simtropolis community will thank you in due course for showing such enthusiam and commitment with your amazingly entertaining developments. I look forward to seeing more from all your new cities/towns/villages, as well as looking forward to the future development of your BV project. Keep up with the amazing work, I will be following it (as will every other 'CJ junkie') and enjoying it even more everytime. All the best, Low light P.s. I'm really looking forward to moving back into my flat in Col De Soller . I wonder if that party animal Darmok is having another party up there again! I don't think I can keep up. I haven't been back for so long...I hope the squatters haven't moved in either and wrecked the place! p.p.s I'm so glad you put in the Port administration building and the clock tower. I had made the suggestion a long time ago, but never thought it would materialise...it looks great. I think Ports always need a sense of history becuase they represent the oldest form of logistics for mass trade. This therefore would mean most established trading cities would have a historical Port area.
  9. Sculpting Columbia River

Ohhhh, very interesting, can't wait to see what it turns out to be, those walls are amazing, marrast has done a great job (as usual!). Can't wait till he releases them!!
  10. Turry Metro Region to Scale

Hey Dannato, Great update, I love what you are doing with this CJ. I was wondering if you could post a region view of your CJ as it stands now. Maybe you could mark on it major areas or facilities. I only ask so that we can recap what's happend to Turry and then we could think about any suggestion we could offer you. You have a great stoey here and I hope you continue, and maybe we can help stear it down strange and imaginative roads...
  11. Digby - East Coast Region

Hey Paul, Looking forward to more updates. I have been following this CJ for so long that I love any type of update, no matter how large or small they are. Hope you find some spare time in your busy schedule for SC4 . Can't wait for the nest update.
  12. Anduin Valley Revisited

KING Darmok (hey you've got a church named after you in Columbia River) You're doing great things with your imagination her, there is great attention to detail and what seems to be an emphasis on making this city look realistic and used! Keep up the great work and the amazing 'photoshoping'. A region view would be cool, but I guess doing one now would give away alot of the secret of what is to come in the CJ... I love the cul de sac's they look a little isolated, but I guess they are part of a quiet 'suburban' area (?) the trees on the pavements look soooooooo coool!!!!
  13. Sculpting Columbia River

I've missed two lots of updates! They look amazing!!!!! The last updates just looks stunning!! The church looks just right on that craggy hill. (Darmok is a king) Wow I have royalty living above my CR port de soller apartment!!!! better get some candid pictures of him and his mistresses send them to CR Newspapers and Trashy magazines!! I'll make a fortune! 31.3: looks so realistic, you could imagine families living in this area with their kid riding their bike on the streets. I love how you use paths but they are only visible if you look really hard at the picture. There are so many subtle things going on in your CJ screen shots that it takes ages to look at them cos of the detail. The last update...wow...it's beautiful. You can see the castle overlooking the river and the different scales of buildings, there is real texture in this picture. 32.5 looks so cool, cos it looks like all the church is packed, like there is a service on. The road leading up to it is so quaint, you could imagine driving up there to rejuvenate your spirit, with great view as well from the top, I bet. 32.9 has got to be my favourite cos it shows the whole area. You can see the history of the city by looking at this picture. Jeroni you have a masterpiece here...I don't know what else to say...you are building a dream city (with lots of public transport, judging by the buses ). keep it up, and I agree with Frog face, play some more SIMCITY4 and you'll destress. Hope you feel better. BTW: the new walls are stunning, can't wait to use them in my city, which is at the moment a mix of experiments that I am doing (all the things I've learnt from your amazing CJ and from the other Amazing Cj's on this site). A quick question Jeroni: How did you get those beaches just below the olympic stadium? Is it a lot or is it the terrain? it look great.
  14. Sculpting Columbia River

Wawaweewa!!!! The Olympic area is SWEET!!!! I like the position of the raised railway station, you could imagine the spectators coming to watch a competition and the first things they would see after coming out of the tunnel are these great examples of architechure Jeroni, you must spend some time looking for all of you unique bats...I guess I've never made the effort, but this CJ has inspired me. Each one of your districts is dfferent but all are tied together because you use FrogFace's Med houses, there is a certain sense of history here, it's like the Olympic area was built around the old buildings to preserve them, you've captured it beautifuly. Great little Micro pics...the Tanker truck looks like the work of PEG (though I may be wrong). Great work Jeroni, Looking forward to update 30!!!!!!!!!!!! [EDIT: PAGE 15!...This CJ is on a role bro!!!!!]
  15. Eladremme

Marrast...man...that is just the most amazing thing I've seen in a while! The pictures don't even look like they're from SC4! It is a testament to your skills as an artist! You are a very talented man! I can't wait to see the next edition! (Those pictures are photoshoped a bit aren't they, cos they look stunning!) The screenshots look like photo's of miniture models! keep up the awesome work my man.
  16. Extra Commercial Lot Pack

Great job Equinox! Just wondering if this will have any conflict with the Additional 5x5 and 6x6 mall lots v10 ver 1 by Toroca? https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?mode=files&filetype=Lot&Str=additional%205x5%20and%206x6%20mall%20lots%20v10
  17. Sculpting Columbia River

Wow, I'm really honoured too!! I'll take 3 thanks Jeroni. Just hope Darmok keeps the noise down when he's partying all night!!! Now If only I can get the time of work to visit!!!! What excuse can I come up with to get out of work I'm sure I'll think of something. TGA: What can I say: 'Great minds think alike ' Re: The Railway It does look less spectacular Jeroni, but it sure does look more realistic. I'm really quite touched that you make changes to your CJ, even though you are showing us pictures of areas that have already been built, thanks for maiking such an effort to make this CJ interactive [EDIT: Thats cool Jeroni at least you looked to see what the alternative would be like, it's your CJ - it's your rules] Now you are all officially invited to my Apartment warming party. Theme for the night Elvis lives on Date: Every Day! Time: All Day! BTW it's BYO (Bring Your Own: BOOZE!!) Food will be Provided
  18. Sculpting Columbia River

Thanks for the info on the fishing village and answering the questions. I don't get much opportunity to check this CJ but when ever I get some time I make sure I do, I have great interest in it cos it's so innovative and great to look at. Another Great update!!! The elevated rail bridge going over the motorway/freeway doesn't look bad, infact it's a great job. But it just looks more realistic if the motorway/freeway goes over. But that can't be changed , it still looks amazing though. Re: the Residential walls I think number 2 is a great option only because it looks better than the others. 1 would look too cheap and 3 looks too bland/plain.
  19. Eladremme

Hooray!!!!!!!!!! You decided to keep the the CJ alive I'm so glad. There are so many inspirational Cj's on this forum now and your style of building and delivery is unique and awsome at the same time. It's a shame we won't get ot see the old pictures, but we can't have everything I guess there will be a few newbies who might miss out on the initial pic's, but as the french say 'C'est la vie!'. Looking forward to new stories and innovative use of Simcity 4, and more pic's. BTW: Your BAT's are awesome and very useful. You are a very appreciated member of this community in my books they look awesome in your CJ as well.
  20. Anduin Valley Revisited

Great Job Darmok!! I can't wait to see more updates! I love the terracing. This is starting to look like one of those inspirational CJ's!!! I guess I know where you get you inspiration form. But You certainly have defined your own style!! Great job on this and I look forward to seeing more 'Phases'. All the best with the CJ
  21. Sculpting Columbia River

That is just pure art! This is a scene out of a picture postcard, stunning work. I love that fishing harbour, did you make it yourself? or is there somewhere we can download it? It fits in so well with the medditeranean buildings. It reminds me of the old fashioned tuna fishing boats they have in Italy. The Abyss is starting to look sweet. The convention centres looks perfect nestled by the coast. one last question: Do you edit your growable lots at all? Some of then seem to be missing the car parks. It gives it a real european feel. I know S.A.C did that with Olympia, infact many of the growable lots were 'trimmed' to create wall to wall effects. Can't wait to see the development pic's of this little fishing village!!
  22. Sculpting Columbia River

Hey Jeroni, Amazing work on the Castle area again. The little settement at the base of the hill looks great. I agree with kassarc16 and Darmok about the railway going over the motorway, make it go under if you can, it will look more realistic. [Edit: Sorry, I should have looked closer, this was answered by Jeroni in the previous post...Doh!! - Cheers T.G.A] The area is starting to get some 'meat on the bone' and is looking very nice indeed, I will definitely make a point of visiting this area as soon as you give me my apartment in Coll de soller and a mooring for my yacht in that little harbour! The micro pics look great and give a little taste of the beautiful work from the talented simtropolites out there. It's a great idea...your creativity seems unstoppable!!! As always looking forward to the next amazing update (by the way I have bought a seat belt for my chair so no more falling out when I see your amazing updates) Adios amigo.
  23. Eladremme

Please keep this CJ alive. Your contributions to the community are amazing. You offer new styles of playing this game and your CJ's are an inspiration to everyone, I'm sure. Good luck with your decision and I hope you keep the CJ.
  24. Sculpting Columbia River

WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!!! This is AMAZING!! I can't believe how perfect each one of your updates are...you're spoiling us rotten. The castle has always looked funny cos of the bright ground texture, but you've managed to make it sit beautifuly in that amazing surrounding!!! Just when I thought your cj couldn't get better it just has!!!! BRAVO!!! I'll have to brace myself for the next update so that I don't fall out my seat with amazement!!!!
  25. Sculpting Columbia River

Hey Jeroni, Thanks for answering my question. I am playing around with the dirt road mod too and it's very difficult to maintain consistency with the roads...it looks really patchy in my city too!!!! (though yours looks far more beautiful than my effort, if you could call it that! ). Just a quick question, which water and beach mod are you using? I like the combination of dark water and white sand. Can anyone else answer this query? Would appreciate it. The village needs a pub, so that we can all buy you a drink for having such a beutiful and perfect city. Cheers to you amigo! [Edit: By the way calling it the head-board is fine, you could also call it the header]
