Growing Pains August 10, 2001 Since June of 2001 Cockburn’s population had grew from 303 residents to 2190. City maintains 0% unemployment rate thanks to the expansion of Industrial District and introduction of the Commercial District. Cities cash reserve grew by nearly two million dollar. But with the impressive growth come minor headaches. Like the ever increasing traffic between the Residential and Industrial district. Mayor George Cockburn plans on expanding the two lane road into a large avenue. No businesses or homes will have to be demolished since there is plenty of space to expand on both sides of the road. New road will be constructed to the west of city hall as a detour for the industrial district. This detour will increase an average commute time to and from work by an hour. Construction of the avenue will begin tomorrow, and should last about 2 months. Construction Plan:

City of Cockburn Starts Exporting Water July 22, 2001 George Cockburn’s dream of providing the world with fresh natural spring water is finally coming alive. Construction of two Water Pure water towers came to an end two days ago. Yesterday they started pumping up fresh underground water which was then shipped over to a bottling company in the industrial district. This morning first shipments of Water Pure water was delivered to major retail stores throughout Broken Hill City (major metropolitan city in Bonner County). If Water Pure brand catches on in Broken Hill City, George will construct more water towers and will expand his business to other cities within the Bonner County. Construction of City Hall Completed June 2, 2001 Construction of Cockburn City Hall has finally come to an end. Week before the construction of the city hall was in its final stages; George Cockburn has stepped down as the owner of Freight World Co. to peruse a new career as mayor of Cockburn City. His company is currently run by his oldest son Jack Cockburn. Cockburn City also welcomes its first 303 residents which had build a small residential community near the water front. Current unemployment rate in the city is 0% thanks to the George’s tax incentives to lure heavy industry into the city. Plans for the city revealed. March 04, 2001 Sir George Cockburn had laid out initial blueprint for the city by splitting it into four distinctive districts: residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial. He wasn’t very excited about setting up an industrial district in the city that would advertise itself for selling clean natural spring water. But he knew that the industrial district was necessary to attract large number of residents into his city. Establishing a new industrial district would also be good for the Bonner County region which suffers from high unemployment rate. George’s Cockburn City Blueprint:

On October 14, 2000 Sir George Cockburn a very wealthy owner of Freight World Co. has sent out a small group of land surveyors to the west of Broken Hill city. His intentions were to establish a small, quiet, lower to medium density city that could rake in big profits from exporting large amounts of natural spring water throughout the globe. After two weeks of extensive research surveyors found a perfect location for establishing a new city that would accomplish the goal Sir George Cockburn had in mind. It’s abounded in natural spring water reserves, has a potential for providing a good amount of land for farming purposes, and about seventy five percent of the land is flat. On January 22, 2001 Sir George Cockburn had purchased this vast amount of land from the Bonner County Commission for half a billion dollars. To the residents of the Bonner County that seemed like a very risky investment, especially since the local economy has gone through some serious beating over the past few years. This region is plagued by high unemployment rate, and deep cuts to local government services. But this didn’t bother George Cockburn, he was very highly motivated, and he had already spent good chunk of his fortune to turn his back on what would become the wealthiest city in the region.
