As other people already mentioned; look for simpeg waterfronts. Pedestrian tiles from the NAM strangely enough can be build underwater too, and some of them look very appropriate for waterfronts.

what is your favourite landmark in this world ?

The Great Wall of China of course. It would have even been very impressive if they pulled off to build in the current age, but they did it a looooooong time ago. -
Favorite European Cities

Just been back frome Barcelona, but that city simply doesn't cut it for me. Too polished for my taste. I prefer cities which are rougher, like Berlin or London. Amsterdam is cool too, but since it is my home town I don't think I can give a objective opinion about it. -
Mexico and United States

Normally, I just browse the forum here, but seeing that I've been in Mexico for some time and hold a lot of love for that country, I felt compelled to throw in my two cents. I think a part of the explanation is both the ethnicity and climate in Mexico. Whereas the English colonists found a country that was relatively favourable to them both in terms of a cool climate and a small indiginous population, the Spanish conquistadores stumbled upon a rugged land that was part desert and part thick jungle. Also, this part of the continent already had some more developed indiginous civilisations at the time (With a whole lot more people). Mixing indigenous and spanish ancestry fueled a history that was characterised by internal conflict of criollos , mestizos and indigenas, and resulted in a caste based society that lasted for a long time and divided wealth according to ancestry. Though this caste system seems to have diminished, the economic division lasted. Also count in that Mexico is very hot -as well as humid in southern areas- which makes the air feel very heavy at mid day, and you won't be surprised that people there prefer a siesta over working overtime in the office. Besides, Mexican people prefer to lay back a little and enjoy life at the expense of economic progression. Makes sense to me, actually. Anyway that is my opinion about the matter, if i got something wrong, please correct me. Laters. -
The Capital of the World!
Tenochtitlan replied to spacenuteskimo's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I think I'd vote for a very big city in Asia, like Jakarta or Tokyo or something similar. Asia has what - one third of the world population? Half of it? So it would be a bit ridiculous to NOT have the capital in Asia. Or maybe Cairo or Istanbul because of their huge gateway functions. -
What's the size of your plugins folder?

45,5MB, (I think, looks like I downloaded some files to different harddisks) though I just started recently with this modding. Way to addicting if you ask me.
