Change it to:
-CustomResolution:enabled -r1600x900x32
Thanks

-CustomResolution:enabled- r1600x900x32 -intro:off Adding this to my shortcut didn't change my screen resolution, but it did get rid of the intro.

I'm trying to understand how would beefing up residential in Boone would help if there are already abandoned homes in that city? Ames already has enough jobs for Boone residents to commute to, should I put more jobs in Ames (i.e. Airport) on the edge of the map?
-
Not necessarily; Ames may have become self sufficient in the mean time. Also, are you using the NAM traffic simulator? Ames has become more self sufficient which was my goal, but now I need it to be a metropolitan center. I am using NAM traffic simulator.

I'm trying to get sims to commute between cities. They used to commute until I disconnected them and I've reconnected them they should begin commuting again right? Here are some stats for the cities I'm trying to get sims to commute between: Boone (City 1) Time:11/24/03 Population 21,846 Commercial:11,704 Industrial:56,896 Homes are going abandoned in Boone Ames (City 2) 1/22/04 Population 29,926 Commercial:36,373 Industrial:24,861 A boomtown with potential for more population The 2 cities are connected by 2 Avenues and 2 Roads.

Here's me waiting 10yrs to not see any development with RHW as the closest connection. Here's me waiting 10yrs after disconnecting my avenue connection.
-
These pictures show what happens 100% of the time if I follow the RHW readme file on neighbor connections (doing the same on both sides).
-
I am new to the Real Highways mod so I may be missing something, but I am not able to build functional connections to neighbor cities with this mod at all if I drag a starter piece out to the edge of the map. If I want to build a freeway connection to a neighbor I must use the Maxis freeways instead. I tried the RHW neighbor connection puzzle piece and it didn't show up on the other side. For some reason dragging the RHW out to the edges as normal and using the neighbor connection puzzle pieces on top didn't seem to work. Like an expert said it would. So am I missing something or what?

Wow...It's weird I tried exactly was you guys said to try before I posted and my dorms would become abandoned due to "low demand" (with is kind of a different). But, now magically I am not having the problem any longer. Thanks, for the replies though.

So I am working on a college town in my region and I know exactly what buildings I want to use for my dorm buildings, So how do I stop those buildings from becoming abandoned and becoming run down. As you know college dorms will not become abandoned due to commute time or low desirability. Is it possible for residents to occupy the dorms I am trying to build for my University?
-
Thanks everyone for all your help, but the problem seems to have disappeared without me being able to take anyone's advise. Since I still don't know what caused it, it's bound to happen again and when it does I will try all of your tips.

Oh yeah, figured I should probably post my plug-in folder as it existed during the crisis. http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/1540/pluginfolder.jpg

This problem is happening to mostly residential and commercial buildings in cities built with Houston and Euro tilesets in every region in my game. If the city was built with the New York and Chicago tilesets it will not have any empty lots. No industrial buildings are affected.

Sorry to report that this didn't work now that I am running version 1.1.638.0 :-(
