Just an update here. Last night after some reading through the Reader "Guide", I realized the guy who posted the tutorials on this forum either is outdated from a modding change, or presumed everyone knew everything about the different tools in Reader. I'm still toying with this a bit, but I basically found out the the tutorial guy left out that you need to hit "record" on the analyser, make your changes, and then close the window, then hit the patch button on the main Reader window, and hit create DAT. Hope this helps anyone who was confused like I was!

Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to mod SC4 for a while now, and have given up on several occasions. Just for your information, I have tried reading through the tutorials, and none of them have worked for me yet. https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=149&threadid=76307&enterthread=y#0 these are the tutorials I am trying to use, and have had no luck what so ever. So basically, I have iLive Reader, and have been following the instructions the best I could, I'm not sure that possibly because there is a new version of iLive from when the original tutorial poster made it, but he tells me in his tutorials to open the analyser. Since I have four types of "analyser"'s in my iLive Reader, exemplar, index, cohort, and plugin, I have tried using some logic, and I think exemplar is the correct analyser for the project. Basically, I can enter the exemplar analyser, modify some things, close the analyser, and then hit the save button and I think its going great. Then I load up SC4 and I can't see my changes, I re-open my analyser and all the values i changed went back to default! I can't figure out for the life of me what I am doing wrong here, I make my changes, close the analyser, hit the save button at the top of the reader, and it doesn't actually save -.- Thanks for your time

SC4 is a fairly old game, that computer can probably run it on full settings with good FPS's. My laptop has 2gb RAM, 2.0gHz dual core CPU, and an X1200 card and it runs SC4 just fine.

I recently lost my manual for SC4 (the color one with the CD key...) and with some internet browsing I found out that you can use other people's CD keys lol. Now I can only ensure that you use this key on your LEGALLY PURCHASED copy of SC4... You didn't get this from me Sharing of CD keys on ST is strictly forbidden. ISF

Alright, I got back into SC4 recently, was playing it on my laptop, but would prefer to play it on my desktop, which is better. I know my desktop meets the requirements easily, AMD X2 Athlon 5200, 1.5GB Ram, EVGA 8600 512MB video card. So I know its not a hardware compatibility issue. All my drivers are up to date, recently had to upgrade my video drivers because WoW's graphics kept bugging out on me. Anyway, so basically when I play SC4, the game "lags". The scrolling is extremely choppy, and makes it very tough to lay down roads and pipe efficiently. Also watching the cars its like watching the old Sim City games where the cars "dotted" around the streets, if you get what I'm saying. I tried updating the game, I downloaded the patch from simcities website, I have version 1.1.16 or something like that. I have tried running the game in OpenGL, and have had no luck. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Its rather annoying =(

Okay, I am simply trying to do two things here... First, I am looking for a money tree mod, I found one on my laptop, downloaded it fine last night. but I want this file on my main computer. I have NO idea how the heck to search for a file in the mod section, i somehow managed to it last night but no I can't figure it out for the life of me. Two, when I DO find something I want to download, i can't friggen download it!!! RAAARGH. I enter my login information, and it tells me my login information is incorrect WHEN I JUST USED IT TO LOG ONTO THE FORUMS!! If anyone knows what the hell I am doing wrong on this site, I would really appreciate it.

Where can I download this? I've searched all over this website for the download and have had no luck.
