  1. What Music are you listening to right now?

Never Let You Go - Third Eye Blind
  2. Employment

I work at a Quizno's, as a Shift Manager. Not all the time though, sometimes I'm just working as a regular team member. I pretty much can do anything that they need me to there. It's not great, but it's money for college. I'm hoping that I can get a job in a lab in college, as I'd eventually like to work in research. But that may take a couple of years.

  4. Your Avatar

Mine is just one that I found online, and I liked it. Seemed to fit with simcity. Seems other people like it too, as I got a trixie for it.
  5. Need a good free registry cleaner

Try ccleaner. It's free, and works great. You can get it here.
  6. How do you rip your music?

I use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip my files to MP3 LAME V3 VBR (about 160 kbps). I then use MP3Gain to tag ReplayGain values on my files (lossless volume equalization, not leveling). Next, I tag them using MP3Tag, before adding them to my Cowon iAudio X5L, loaded with Rockbox. As you can see, I can be very particular.
  7. I don't know if its really a sequel, but I found the movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to be quite a bit different from the book. I loved the book... but the movie I thought was a disappointment.
  8. Purevolume & Last FM

I've used it in the past, but I haven't lately. I'll have to go check it out again.
  9. Fire Drills

Heh, at my school no one pays attention to the fire drill anymore. The school has had problems all year with them being set off on accident in the gym, and after the first few times everyone ignored them. Just last week one went off before school, and my friends and I just stood there waiting for them to turn it off. Also, we always know when a drill is coming up, so it's never unexpected. It's not officially anounced, but word always gets around.

  11. What Car?

I don't have my own car, although I do have a license. My mom has a 1998 Ford Windstar (what I drive when she isn't using it). My dad owns a 1992 Ford Ranger. (I don't know how to drive a manual transmission).

  16. The ACT test

I recently took this test, and did pretty well (33). Here's a few tips that helped me: First, even though it doesn't say it, all diagrams are pretty much to scale. So, you can visualize angles and measurements, and even use the edge of your answer sheet as a ruler if you want. It can save a lot of time by bypassing calculations. Second, don't stick on one problem too long. If you start to have problems, move on and come back to it if you have time. Something later in the test may refresh your memory. Third, answer every question! You don't get any points taken off like on the SAT, so if time is running out just start filling in bubbles. Try and make educated guesses if you have time, but something is better than nothing. One other tip that may or may not help much is to write the answers next to the problems in big letters in your test. Then don't fill in the bubbles until you have a whole page completed, it's a lot faster to do it that way. Also, the big letters next to your answers help with checking answers if you have time. Also, write everything down, don't erase work, if it's wrong just cross it out, it saves time and you won't accidentally do the same thing again. Hopefully some of these tips can help, and good luck!

I don't know where I'll go next, somewhere for college.

We haven't had a real good one here for a while. Anyway, last week I went on a trip to NYC, I have a few pics from there. Most of the ones I took were of buildings and such, not of myself. This is standing at times square, the first day of our trip, the 9th. This next picture was the following day, from the top of the Empire State Building. This picture is of the fountains in the roundabout by central park, I really liked it at night. This is just a small sampling of the pictures I took... I went a little crazy. I took about 850 pictures in 3 days.... yeah... I didn't realize I was taking that much at the time... but I really like architecture and big cities... and.... okay, I realize it's not an excuse, I just like to take pictures. It'll take me a while to go through them, though. EDIT: Shoot, I forgot about the png bug in ie. I haven't posted here in a while.... I don't have time to convert and re-upload to jpg now... I'll hopefully get to it soon. So, sorry to all the ie users out there.

  24. What Are You?

I'd have to say that currently I'd be a mix of suburbanite and city dweller, I live on the outskirts of a small town, so it wouldn't be considered suburbs... nor in the city. It's pretty much houses around, but we do have a small patch of woods in our back yard. Idealy, I would like living probably in either one of the extremes, or somewhere inbetween. I'd like to live in a big city for at least a few years, to experience it. I've only been to big cities a few times (like Chichago, St. Louis, etc.) and enjoyed my times there, but I don't know if I'd like everyday life there. On the other hand, I love the wilderness and outdoors and can see myself living in a secluded cabin in the mountains also. I don't know what'll happen, but I'd like to at least try both of those.
  25. Pretty much what the title says, I was just wondering what different labor laws are in different places. If you could post them here, that would be great! For example, I live in Jackson, Michigan. Here, you need to be 16 to get a job. You must also have a work permit if you are under 18. I'm curious as to how laws vary in different areas of the world.
