Okay. Iran and I heard Syria are getting involved in the Gaza/Israel thing. Iran is ready to send suicide bombers there from their military. I do agree with you though it hasn't changed much

Uhh, well yes, Pakistan and India, a few other middle eastern conflicts, China. Haha, I consider about 4 - 5 to be a lot, I guess I shouldn't of put emphasis meaning "SO MANY" but rather a lot.

It's just another war. There are SO MANY wars about to break out, it's scary. But.. we've got three options, sit in a box and pretend nothing is happening, do nothing and acknowledge whats going on, or do something about it and acknowledge. Doing something is preparing, not protesting just to make it clear.

Haha awesome man. My grandfather was in the Army Air Corps in WWII (Army Air Corps is the old Air Force for those that don't know)

George Bush will designate nearly 200,000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean as conservation areas on Tuesday, recasting his record on the environment just two weeks before leaving the White House. Tuesday's formal announcement will establish Bush as the leader who has protected more of the oceans than anyone else in the world, environmentalists said. The three regions in the Pacific Ocean encompass some 195,280 square miles of remote and relatively uninhabited island chains. They include pristine coral reefs, vanishing marine species and the deepest place on Earth. Their preservation brought rare praise from environmentalists who have spent much of the last eight years fighting Bush on climate change, air pollution, and wildlife management. 'The president has given the world a Texas-sized gift,' said Diane Regas, manager of the ocean programme at the Environmental Defence Fund. But the marine reserves were as much a gift from Laura Bush, who was credited with heading off determined opposition from the vice-president, Dick Cheney, as well as business leaders in the Mariana Islands who had lobbied on behalf of fishing and energy exploration.quote> http://www.yournewz.com/similar/7996039/2009/01/6/category=0/source=0/0/Bush+designates+ocean+conservation+areas+in+final+weeks+as+president

Lighten up, folks! Barbarossaquote> Haha, I DON'T think you can modify the water! I hope he manages to stay that way but I'll readily admit that I'm worried about him. He lives in a country where Military service is no-excuses you have to join. I wish him well with training, AIT and if he's gonna be in the battlefield, good luck there too. Show em' terrorists who's boss. I know someone in the IDF, I will send them an e-mail and find out if there is a way of getting a list that's updated frequently of KIA's

Only thing they've barely got in common is they have led something big.quote> Well, I know that Bush and Hitler do have a lot of differences (but also a few similarities), and I'm not saying that Bush is another Hitler. I was just pointing out that even the worst leaders have a few positive attributes, so it is nothing to be surprised about.quote> Really? PLEASE tell me where he cleansed his population and tries to take over the world to cleanse it of do nothing wrong people. (Don't even go there and say muslims or I'll have to get the facts out) He's one of the worst leaders? Ha, NO OTHER LEADERS have had to face the same things as he has. JFK, everyone thinks he's such a great leader... well he told people what to do, he didn't have to face LIFE CHANGING decisions, and he only served about 2 years of his presidency. Just an example. I'd REALLY love to hear how you can compare cement to a rubber tire. I suppose its a good thing. Still, it doesn't really make up for 1,000,000 Iraqi civilians (although the majority weren't directly killed by US forces). Still, bush should remember, two wrongs don't make a right. But 3 rights just cover them up. Can he do two more rights in 20 days?quote> 1,000,000 Iraqi civilians that were killed? Yeah, Saddam can't make up for that. Here's a CNN article proving what I'm saying. Bush didn't kill ANYWHERE NEAR 1,000,000 innocent civilians. http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/11/20/sbm.iraq.galbraith/ Saddam killed 1 million people, using WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction) the WMD's he used was Mustard Gas, something that once you breathe it into your lungs, it attacks your lungs, essentially clogging them up, and making you unable to breathe. Terrible way to go, another effect it had was huge soars on you. Google mustard gas, you'll find out all you need to know. Saddam flew fighter jets filled with Mustard Gas in bombs and dropped them on Kurdish (innocent Iraqi Civilians) Yes, two wrongs don't make a right... liberating 2 countries from tyranny. Iraq and Afghanistan and plenty of other things he has done right that the media hasn't covered him on. If you don't know what tyranny is, it's related to dictatorship, google it, you might learn something (not being sarcastic) Enjoy.

Hey ilikehotdogs. Great point ya made there. Considering he did a number of things that people ON HERE haven't heard about. I think it's good to bring up some positive things about him before he leaves office. I find the bush hatred on here funny, didn't know I'd get this bad of a response
-
Nah I'm saying, he actually did something good, and then when I point something and you all go anti-Bush. I wonder... do any of you know that Bush faced the hardest decisions since the presidents of the WWII era had?

So the biggest ocean preservation project in the history of man and NO ONE has anything other than "oh goody goody" to say? I bet if Obama did this, this thread would be full of "oh he's so great"

By the way, mortar fire is non self-propelled light artillery fire while Qassam rockets are perfectly self-propelledquote> What are you saying? You don't want other people who will eventually kill you to be killed, and if you don't kill them, you are fine with them killing you? That's what a preventive attack is. Even IF mortar fire is "non self-propelled" it takes someone to put the mortar in, and it takes a life and or cause property damage to an innocent person, who didn't do anything, regardless.

I don't think that'd ever happen. However, you could probably get a group together of deranged thinking, trapped in the 60's hippies to do that.. I find it funny, people who think we could all get along. Now, I hate war, everything about it, but I know it has to happen. I hate the fact that we can't get along, but I realize it's a repercussion of not living in a perfect world (regardless if you believe in God or not..)
-
That might be true. But the bottom line being, people are dying and if they wont do something about it.. then more will. They can't just keep letting them launch mortars and do other terrorist attacks in Israel. You can't just sit there, like the U.S. did for too long. You will get one major one and then you do something about it.. like we did. Israel needs to take the gloves off. It's easier to hate someone who has killed your family members or your friends and to name them the bad guy if they are. If they actually DO SOMETHING about it then first of all, they might think twice, second, get rid of them, and you've got peace. Then on the other hand, it might just take a little while. Iran needs to kill off some of their population in the name of Allah before this war will be over.. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1052894.html

I meant that.. the UN doesn't do anything. They're neutral in everything, except for giving sanctions, which, lets just put it this way, it's like giving a speeding ticket or a parking ticket to someone who doesn't care and wont pay it. Also, I meant that Israel ISN'T the bad guys, they're the good guys, being bombarded with mortar fire. Apologies if it didn't sound that way haha.
-
Glad to see they are in the process of taking the gloves off. To anyone who thinks this isn't a good idea... Imagine yourself, just imagine, I'm not saying INSTILL yourself with fear, living in Israel. Now, there are Rockets, car bombings, crazy people shooting up places full of innocent people who didn't do a darned thing, and many other terrorist activities. How could anyone be so naive do deny Israel fight back? When someone is launching TERRORIST ATTACKS in your backyard, you might know how it feels. Such as when the sirens go off over there everyone has to RUN into a house go into the bomb proof basement (imagine yourself having one of those to keep alive) so that they can at least have a defense against them. Yeah, the UN hasn't done JACK. The UN is one reason we are friggin' in Iraq... but I'm not going off-topic with that discussion. I just can't believe this. The only way to keep peace, is to destroy evil. If you wave the white flag and go all "we just want peace man, lets smoke a bong" the enemy will laugh you in the face and shoot you dead. God forbid a country that has been under attack for a few decades defend itself

It's all about taxing people JUST because they make a bigger dime -rolleyes- If you want to make a difference, urge rich people to get incentives such as tax breaks or other things that they would find useful for donating to causes. Such as what we have now. I'm middle class, my parents suffer from all these stupid ideas Q: If you tax MIDDLE and UPPER who suffers? A: Middle! Q: Why is this? A: Because Middle are making it by on the Middle Class level why should they have to "come down" to that level. I don't mean to sound harsh against lower class, but why should they suffer? My dad is a hard working American, he's earned his job, it's fairly steady where he is, I'm not going to say where (no not the military lol) and he makes money with a little extra here and there to spend. Which is the way everyone would like it to be. My friend Chris was a logger (people who cut down trees, sort of like a lumberjack) and he joined the Army, he's got a steady job there too, but he is a HARD WORKING American, regardless of opinion on war, he has been over to Iraq once or twice and his next tour is probably going to be Afghanistan. Again regardless of your opinion of the war, he does his job, with pride, and does a good job of it! He hates the fact that he needs to share his wealth with the next joe blow on the list right below him because joe blow can't work harder. Now, of course, there are some joe blow's that truly can't work/disabled etc. Well, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the drug dealers and other scum of the earth that live off welfare and live in Gov't housing. It's total B.S. and there IS A LOT of that. If you get rid of those people I bet you wont have NEARLY as hard of a time fixing the deficit of the city fund. BTW: I'm not trying to be offtopic here, but I'm trying to make a point on why the gas tax is so stupid. I hope you understand what I'm saying. Sorry if I don't reply right away, I'm leaving to go out of town tomorrow and might not make it online for a while. I would like to see the hybrid cars or a MUCH BETTER alternative, Corn, bio, and a few other alternatives don't work at all we need something that's awesome and really works.
