OK, I've had a few disaster journals in my time because of lack of interest and picture problems, but, am going to launch what should be a unique idea. I'm going to use SC4 to recreate the human body as an entire city! Posting pics shortly and I hope to impress! Mr V. P.S. The pics for the time being will only be region pics as for some weird reason, my city pics are either too big or too small, so, until the problem is solved, you will only get region pics.

9/10 Radiohead Fan!!! Well no-one is posting so I will send yet ANOTHER one. My Empty Heart My Heart is empty, It's on its own. No-one to fill it, It's all alone. Why am I upset? Why am I sad? What did I do, That was so bad? I toss and I turn, In my bed at night. Wondering why, I could not put things right. I don't know what happened, Probably never will. But she has moved on, And I...well. My heart is still empty, It's still on its own. Still no-one to fill it, It's still all alone... Mr Veggie

Ok, right now, I'm working on a request for jglei to make a fantasy region and am not completely able to work SCRACC just yet, because what is happening is that all my levels are just becoming plateaus and that is really not a great effect. I don't want to become a dead member so tips will be greatly appeciated. Either that or I will turn to Landscape Desiner, but I'm not sure that that is allowed. Is it allowed? Mr Veggie

Well...looks like I forgot to mention that this journal was closed, since the file corrupted and I could no longer play it...but since it is still recieving posts, there is a chance that I will kickstart it again, since I have no other journals to concentrate it on (Banana Grove will have to wait). It isn't a definate thing but you could see the Human Body, winner of Most Unique Region Trixie Award 2004, revitalised, better than ever!!!! Mr Veggie

Nice terraforming there! I will look at this one for updates! Mr Veggie

I really am liking this! I like the ity layout and the canals and pretty much everything. Just something that crossed my mind. If tis is after a nuclear war, wouldn't there be lots of radiation about? Are you going to simulate it? Or are you going to say that it has all been dealt with? Mr Veggie

Official Mapping Community Requests
MrVegetable replied to RadioheadFan's topic in Mapping Community Room
Date: 5/2/2005 2:36:28 AM Author: jglei701 I've got a request for the mapp squad. I don't imagine that this would be tough in the least to create, but I haven't the slightest how to create maps, and I figure if we've got a map squad, why not use them?! My request is for a fictional map that is about half the size of the normal regional maps (because I've got a pretty slow computer) that has various islands of small, medium, and large sizes, with some tall mountains, but also (probably near the coastlines) plenty of area to build my cities. Also, if you could make the region with all small and medium cities, that would be great, because my comp can't handle anything larger than a medium sized city. Thanks alot, and someone could PM me (jglei701) and let me know about this request (or if you have any questions). Thanks again!! quote> I think I can put my fun one on hold and do you fictional map jglei701. I'm sure I can find time since this is the first time in ages where I am not bogged down with schoolwork! Date: 5/2/2005 1:51:06 PM Author: GoaSkin It may be possible to enhance the existing street network. There are files in simcity1.dat describing which puzzle pieces are to be used when dragging any kind of road/rail. There, the list of pieces is shorter for streets. It may work if we extend this list and reference to the new textures but that needs research. If this is possible, you won't have any ANT-dependant limits. Thinks like ground highway bridges coming with the NAM are also solved using this way. quote> Going on what you're saying, maybe we could add the coding that lets us build diagonal transportation links into the streets section of simcity1.dat. If we could give it the texture, we could make our own diagonal streets. But first, we need to know what coding make roads and rail and etc. build diagonally. Any volunteers? Mr Veggie

[:0]No way is bognor a crap town! So it's full of the elderly, but hey. I don't care. Bognor isn't that bad a place...I've seen much much worse. Mr Veggie

....right...that is a problem....yes this is hand terraformed. is there a file which has a greyscale or a colour version of the terrain? I could use that if there is. Either that, or I use SCRACC and paint myself a greyscale version of it. Or of something similar. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm on the job! Mr Veggie

So my runescape project didn't turn out so well, but now I'm ready to try a fantasy map of my own. Radiohead Fan might be pleased about this. I am going to make a region which I will use in my Banana Grove region when I decide to revitalise it. And then I thought hey, why not share it with everyone else. It will still be 4 regions length and width, but I'm sure I can deal with it. I have a few hills and some water in t already and I can post what i have. I also use MayorBean's water mod in case that's a problem. Also, you might not be able to see the hills as trees are in the way. Dunno if you want me to get rid of them. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//BNAGROVEMAPPSQUAD1.jpg align=baseline> Hope you like my current progress so far. Mr Veggie.

Well congratulations to all new members of staff and to all those in the future. Mr Veggie

Having a few problems actually getting the terrain elevations correct so I am on the verge of ditching the Runescape project.... Hoping it doesn't come to that. Pics are unnavaliable so I can't show you the problem. The actual terrain is extremely bumpy and is seemingly too hard for me to incorporate into SC4. Maybe if a more experienced Mapp Squad member has the time, they could try and make it. From now on, I will only do fantasy maps when I get the time. Very sorry about having to ditch the Runescape project... Mr Veggie.

Um...oops...forgot...sorry....personal problems got in the way...I will try not to let it happen again.
