Well....the gridlines are gone now. After reading some, it seems when your computer is performing "low", then you might get them when you launch. I have a laptop with switchable graphics, and the internal Intel card might of been working instead of my dedicated ATI one. I logged on today with my dedicated card running, (usually as always for this game), and I noticed no gridlines and a much smoother performance and play this time around. I did launch minutes after 3.0 was patched to my game and that might of caused some sort of problem, but who knows with this game (j/k). -Dave P.S. Now if we could only mod......

Good Afternoon, I just started to play after it finished patching to 3.0, and when my city loaded, I now have gridlines in the entire map like all previous versions of SimCity. I do not know if anyone has had the chance to play the newly patched game, but I can see a difference in traffic, meaning it is not as cluttered as before. What struck me though is the appearance of gridlines now. I am now wandering how to get rid of them as I have become accustomed to the older look. I seem to be at a loss at finding the option. -Dave.

All residential in one square?
DaveTyGuy replied to DaveTyGuy's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Yes, I am meaning the city size. I would put some commercial in the block with the overwhelming residential...just not industrial at all. I would was thinking this might work with the current state of the game's RCI situation. A city with all residential would look very nice and one would be able to sculpt a nice neighborhood ( In my case, a nice middle class suburbia). -
Good afternoon, I have searched through the various forum topics, but to no avail...I am asking if it is possible to create one spot in a region of nothing but residential (with some commercial and utilities to keep it going) then another spot in the same region that will host only industrial. I have figured this has been tried once or twice before, but I was looking for a technical answer as I know most on here are clear veterans of the game. -Dave

Play a Region on your own
DaveTyGuy replied to DaveTyGuy's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Indeed I did not think of that. Thank you. -
Good morning, A quick question here. I was wandering if you can start a region and play all the slots on your own? I do not get to play that often and I would like to sculpt a region my way with my rules without bringing another region down due to low play time. I figured you might be able too but the "Join Game" feature does not give an option to search for your region, so the question might be no due to difficulty. -Dave
