Ok, well what i do is i work according to maxis set rules: if a tax is set to below 4%, i will get a huge demand, if its above 12% i will have a negative demand. if i don't want a certain group, usually later on in the game when i don't want poor ppl, or rich ppl, i set the poor ppl to 10%, as every 0.1%, above 9.5%, you get a decrease of 100 in demand, and the rich to about 9.8%, with med wealth commercial ( service+office) set to 7%, and Low wealth commercial set to 9.5%, and high wealth9%. for industrial i set I-D to 13%, I-M to 7% and I-HT to 3.9%. my game usually works well on those settings i let it run for ten game years, and i'm okay! i play mostly on the easy setting.

Britain the cause of Zimbabwe's cholera crisis?
Strategist01 replied to belfastuniguy's topic in Current Events
@ DTA: well, south africa is pretty stable, and we also have to deal with Zimbabwe's troubles. in fact everybody looks to us to see what help we can give. i personally say we should sanction petrol against Zimbabwe, so that their forces run out of petrol, then we invade( with help from Britain, of course ), and depose Mugabe! there, problem solved! -
very nice city, there you got going! i especially like your wavy walls...* does mexcan wave*

@ MrB: well i was talking about sc4 terraformer, as i thought that was what you used to edit the whole region. now that i realize youve just been working in the game it makes this whole process much more wonderous.

i just had a thought about this and was wondering if maybe the reason you can't edit those played upon tiles is (if you're using sc4 terraformer) maybe because they're locked? 'cos when i was playing around with a region it prompted me to lock/unlock certain tiles...just throwing it out there, hope it helps.
-
wow, this whole process is just simply amazing! Mr.B, you are a master at terraforming (pity about the crashes though)! keep up the good work! btw, wonder if terraforming could be considered art? i mean you get digital art, so this would count right? just my random mind wandering(randomly)...

Strategist01 replied to SCaddicted's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
@ zotus: but sc4 is rendered using a 3d engine, it was the first to do that. simcity 3000 just used 2D sprites. but is does look a bit 2d... -
